Publisher's summary

Kate can't stay with the team any longer. She has worked for too long to keep the walls around her heart and around her past to allow the team to tear them down now. She doesn't think they can handle what is behind them; she's not sure she can. Heading to Charleston with the team on one last case, she and Brian go undercover as brother and sister to find out if a young musician is profiting from illegal activity.

Patrick is going undercover as a summer student at the University of Charleston. He tries to befriend the sister of a suspected drug runner, but nothing is coming easily. The sister won't trust him, leads keep drying up, and tension in the team is building. When things begin to fall apart, Patrick is convinced that he can fix things, but can he?

Excellent

Interesting story of pirated music, and the profit from it. Kate can’t let go of her pass, and thinks this will be the last case she works on. This let us know more about Brian as he goes undercover with Kate. Good series, good characters. Given audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

Engaging

Kate draws you into her story again as she finds herself undercover at a school to find out what is going on with a musician and if more than his music is being promoted. She has to work and what conclusion to come to as she works more with the team as how to except not only their work help, but on a closer level as well.

Good addition to the Kate’s Case Files Series

It’s fun to listen to a series without having to wait for the next book. I enjoyed learning more about Brian in this installment. This is a well-written, engaging, clean story. Book 3 is my favorite so far.

Very interesting story, strong message

This book was filled with a bit of mystery, a lot of adventure, a quaint city, some suspense, deep character struggles, and a lot of God’s truth. I enjoyed this reading of the book and how distinctly each character’s voice and personality came out. There weren’t a lot of plot twists - I easily saw most of it coming - but that didn’t detract from the enjoyment of the book. I appreciated Kate’s real inner struggles. I was also happy to see that Patrick continued to struggle ... though his actions at one point made NO sense and he should have known better... but that is true of us all. I enjoyed how they both learned and grew during this story, though they have a long ways to go. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

KATE'S DILEMMA

AGAIN THE AUTHOR AND HER NARRATOR CAPTURED THE STORY AND BROUGHT IT TO LIFE, SHERI SHERIDAN HAS A GOOD VOICE AS A NARRATOR.
