  • Ep 33 - Remove the Friction from your Routine
    Feb 25 2026

This episode is about something deeply unsexy, wildly practical, and genuinely life-changing: removing friction from your routine.

I'm not talking about fixing your whole life or solving big, dramatic problems. I'm talking about the tiny, annoying barriers that quietly drain your energy every single day. The stuff that shouldn't be hard, but somehow always is.

Packing your bag in the morning. Forgetting snacks. Bills sitting in the back of your mind. Rewriting the same emails. Deciding what to cook. Making the same decisions over and over again until you're exhausted before the day has even really started.

In this episode, I walk through how I design my life to run on autopilot. From batching meals, content, and admin, to automating decisions, setting up my environment properly, and looking after future me like she's a VIP.

This isn't about perfection or obsession. It's about being organised on purpose so you don't need as much motivation, discipline, or willpower just to get through the day.

If life feels harder than it needs to be, this episode will help you spot where the friction is and show you how to remove it, one simple system at a time.

Check the show notes for a long list of tiny, practical ways you can start removing friction from your life today.

Tiny Ways to Remove Friction From Your Life

    • Rename important files clearly so you can actually find them
    • Keep a notes app open with one running "life admin" list
    • Set browser bookmarks for things you use weekly
    • Create a single "waiting on" list so tasks don't float in your head
    • Turn receipts into photos immediately instead of "keeping them safe"
    • Store spare cash in your car for emergencies
    • Keep a spare set of keys with someone you trust
    • Use one notebook instead of five half-used ones
    • Put shoes on shelves by type, not pairs you never wear
    • Keep a donation box permanently in a cupboard
    • Set phone favourites for people you call regularly
    • Silence group chats that don't require action
    • Decide your "no-cook" dinner options in advance
    • Save addresses in your maps app
    • Create a packing list you reuse for every trip
    • Put bins in places rubbish actually appears
    • Keep a lint roller where you get dressed
    • Set up auto-replies for common questions
    • Decide your "work shutdown" time and stick to it
    • Keep scissors in more than one room
    • Put a reminder to reorder essentials before they run out
    • Label storage containers clearly
    • Keep a running gift ideas list year-round
    • Decide your "default" outfit formula
    • Use voice notes instead of typing long messages
    • Store batteries in one clearly marked place
    • Set your phone to auto-do-not-disturb at night
    • Create a single folder for important documents

  • Ep 32 - What is the Cost?
    Feb 18 2026

This episode is a look at the real cost of the choices we avoid, delay, or quietly justify.
Not money, but the stuff that drains your confidence, self-trust, energy, and future while you're telling yourself you're being sensible.

Episode 32 is about the moments where you realise something has cost you far more than you ever budgeted for. The "safe" job. The comfortable relationship. The conversation you didn't have. The dream you parked for later. On paper, everything looks fine. In your body and your mind, something feels off.

I talk about the hidden costs most people never factor in. Delaying dreams and slowly disconnecting from yourself. Avoiding difficult conversations and watching resentment quietly pile up. Neglecting personal growth and wondering why life feels harder than it should. Ignoring your mental and emotional health because you're busy, capable, and "fine".

We get into why avoidance feels cheap in the short term but is wildly expensive over time. How self-trust erodes when you keep telling yourself "later". Why relationships rarely break in big blow-ups, but in all the things that go unsaid. And how stagnation sneaks up on you while life keeps moving.

I also explain the feather, brick, truck theory. How life tries to get your attention gently at first, then escalates when you don't listen. Why the small nudges matter. And why picking up the feather is always easier than dealing with the brick, and a hell of a lot better than being taken out by a truck.

This episode isn't about guilt or pressure. It's about clarity. Because everything has a cost. Taking action costs courage. Growth costs discomfort. Honesty costs vulnerability. But not taking action costs time, potential, and self-respect.

The real question isn't "Can I afford this?"
It's "What is this costing me long term, and am I actually willing to keep paying that price?"

  • Ep 31 - The Harmless Habits That Are Holding You Back
    Feb 11 2026

There are habits in your life that don't look like a problem.
They're not dramatic, destructive, or obviously unhealthy. They're normal, defensible, and quietly woven into your day.

And that's exactly why they're dangerous.

In this episode, I unpack the micro self-sabotages that gently but consistently pull you away from your best self. Not the obvious stuff like alcohol, smoking, or junk food. You already know those matter. This is about the small, repeated behaviours that feel harmless in isolation, but compound over years.

    We explore why:

    • The biggest limits in your life often come from tiny, repeated choices

    • Self-sabotage is more about identity erosion than bad behaviour

    • Optimisation is usually about subtraction, not addition

    • Self-trust is built or broken in the smallest moments

I share examples from my own life, along with patterns seen in high performers who didn't become exceptional by doing more, but by stopping what leaked energy, focus, and clarity.

You'll also hear a simple seven-day experiment you can run this week. No overhauls. No declarations. Just data.

If you've ever felt capable but slightly under-optimised, this one will land.

One question to sit with after listening:
What's the small habit you defend, but quietly know you've outgrown?
