Now that there is no more Rain, Trish has to find a way to get her life back on track. She has to move on with life dealing with the loss of her child and the rough time she had loving a man that never really cared for her. She has learned a lot in the short time she was with Rain, however, the world Rain has dragged her into is not yet done with her.

Though Trish and Yo-Yo had a short falling out with each other due to Trish's unhealthy relationship with Rain, they eventually let go of the nonsense that was keeping them apart. They move on to continue to be better friends than they were before. In this book, they will find that not only do they have a strong bond, but they also have more in common than they think.

Though Trish never really took time to acknowledge the feelings Jay had for her, he is still by her side through all of the craziness. He is playing his position as her friend but he still holds on to his feelings of love for her. After finally being done with Rain, Trish is finally aware of the feelings she has for Jay, but she has chosen to hold off on acting on them so soon. However, time may not be long enough for her to wait on expressing her love. As we pick up where the first book left off we will find that Trish's problems with Rain may be over...but there is a new problem on the horizon...
