Publisher's Summary

Are you tired of not doing the things you said you would do and doing the things you said you wouldn't do?

You have big dreams of changing your life. Or maybe you have small dreams of just keeping your commitments in your work, school, or relationships. Either way, you can’t seem to get it together. You promise yourself you’ll do it later, when you’re refreshed, remotivated, when NSYNC gets back together.

But here’s the thing, later never comes. Months, even years down the line, you still have a picture of a bathtub full of cash, a Lamborghini, and a six-pack on your vision board, yet you still work retail, drive a car that requires you to click your heels three times in order for it to start, and have last night’s doughnut crumbs on your mouth.

Asking yourself to sit down and have the willpower and motivation to be productive and not put off doing things you know you should do is like asking a six-year-old to eat steamed broccoli and do your taxes.

We often know what we should be doing. But let’s face it. Doing stuff is hard. With this audiobook, not so much. You will find:

  • How to “cheat” more hours out of your day
  • How to organize your to-do list for maximum productivity and minimum "I want to tear my hair out and kill someone"
  • The myth of the “morning person”
  • Why you already have what you need to succeed, even if you’re broke, ugly, and talentless
  • The five willpower killers that destroy motivation
  • How to get things done when you’re overwhelmed or don’t feel like it
  • The sometimes friendly, sometimes not-so-friendly kick in the pants you need to make you see and do things differently, change your life, and hopefully laugh in the process

This audiobook has practical, easy-to-apply tips, shared in a fun and relatable way.

If you’re tired of the same old hippie mumbo jumbo advice from the same dry, boring self-help guides, scroll up and click "Buy Now" to get this audiobook!

Got something good in store for me.

So, with it being the beginning of the year, one of my New Years Resolutions has been to finish what I start. I always start projects and have these big, great ideas and grand plans, but I never finish anything and then wonder why my life is still the same. I went on a self help book spree (I really need it) and this is one of the books I got, and it is my favorite so far. It has easy to follow little tidbits of advice, and is a very easy listen. I imagine it’ll be an easy read too, so I just went ahead and bought the paperback book as well to pull out whenever

More!

Not a ton of brand new information, but I really enjoy the author’s tone, voice, sense of humor, and style. They say there’s nothing new under the sun, but when I’m listening to self help audiobooks in my car, I at least want something that’s told to me in a way that makes me enjoy my commute to work. And this book does the trick. Looking forward to more by the author.

Getting things done.

I have severe ADD. Okay, so that’s technically self diagnosed, but still, I can’t seem to focus or sit still or just discipline myself enough to get something done. This audiobook is a kick in the behind to actually get stuff done!

Functional self-help book.

There’s been a trend lately of people just telling it like it is. That’s what I call it “telling it like it is” self help. This audiobook is one of those books. And I have to say, I much prefer it to the dry, boring, self help.

I do like it.

My best friend always says that I never do anything when I’m supposed to do it. As much as I hate her for saying that, it is definitely true. She recommended this book to me after buying Reese’s other audiobook, and I have to say, I do like it.

A light-hearted refresher here.

This audiobook is a great addition to your library. It’s a good fun listen with some informational takeaways and actionable steps, and is a good, light-hearted refresher on some age old productivity and procrastination tips.

Enjoyed it

Can’t say I learned anything new. But to be fair, I’ve read like literally every single self-help book that there is. I still enjoyed listening to it though.

Freaking reality check

Loved it! I was a bit surprised at how much I related to this book. And how many of the tools that I have already been using....just in a little bit more of a disorganized manner. Thank You!!

They will love this.

I have recently started giving books and ebooks as gifts (yay for the gift of knowledge!) and I’m now starting to do the same for audiobooks. I will be giving this out to my friends, I know they’ll love it as much as I do.

Simple but striking.

This audio book contains very simple, and some times common sense advice, which some people might not like, but I actually do. I don’t want something that’s over complicated and sounds too hard or like too much work to actually implement, and I hate those authors that try to be all intellectualized and sound smarter than they actually are. So I appreciate her down to earth style and conversational writing. Good audiobook.

Hats off to the author.

I had never heard of this author, so took a chance on this book—well, I guess I didn’t really take a chance since I got it with a free credit, but any way, I digress—and I’m glad that I did. This pleasantly surprised (and entertained me). This audio book had me laughing all throughout, which doesn’t often happen with books in the self help genre. Hats off to this new author, whoever she is.

getting things done.

We’ve all heard the same stuff over and over, but sometimes you just need to hear an old thing in a new way, and that’s what this audiobook does. I found it to be pretty entertaining.

This resonates with me.

This is a good audiobook for anyone who is tired of being the person who no one expects anything out of anymore. I have unfortunately become that person out of my family and friends group. After years of never doing what I said I would do, and always doing what I said I wouldn’t do, I’ve finally gotten to the point where I’m sick of disappointing everyone. This audiobook actually resonated with me, so with the help of this book, I’m hoping I can actually stop being the family screw up.

The narrator absolutely makes this book. She did a terrific job on the narration. You can tell she’s a professional and great at what she does.
