Connie gets her HEA
This was a cute story. Connie is so tired of her life as it is. She accidentally comes across a website to purchase a royal piece of land. Her best friend Peter helps give her one heck of a makeover that will set her up for a whole new life. The trials she goes through during story is crazy. You laugh at times and want to reach through the phone and hug her at other times. Sherry Halperin def writes a story that captures you and has you laughing and cheering Connie on all at same time. Cara did great with the Narration and her emotions

Becoming a Lady
Unsatisfied with her life, Constance buys a noble title online and tries to reinvent herself. Hoping for love and self worth prove harder than she thought. It’s fairly predictable how this would turn out, but it was a cute story about self worth. The narrator did great voicing the main character, but I didn’t personally like the other voices she attempted. Some times I got confused who was speaking because the inflection didn’t match the character. Overall, great story and left you with that warm feeling inside.

Funny & romantic!
I love finding new authors, and this book was a pleasure to listen to. Sherry Halperin has a new fan and her romcom Just Call Me Lady was both funny and romantic! Connie is not happy with who she is, so decides to take control of her life and recreate herself. Buying a royal title is the first part of her journey, along with a total appearance change, she moves, gets a new job and starts her new life as Lady Constance. No one told her how difficult it would be. Luckily she has a fantastic best friend, Pete, who is always at her side, cheering her on. But when the lies begin to unravel, what is she to do? I love how this story progresses. Connie is not your typical heroine, and the slightly bumbling woman that she is, her endearing charm is what glows about her. As she begins to understand who she is and love herself, the glow is blinding. But who else understands her and sees her for her worth? There are two men, and now the truth of their character will come out. Gives this original. witty story a listen! You will smile and love the characters as I did!
Cara Firestone is the storyteller and she does a fabulous job with this comedy. She keeps the characters easily distinguished and her comedic timing is spot on. She adds in a few accents for some of the characters and it shows her versatility and talent. A wonderful escape with this one!
