Modern Cinderella Story
This was my first experience with Debbie Civil's work and it was delightful. Debbie reimagined the Cinderella fairy tale into a somewhat more modern story. The protagonist, Julia Lang, was treated as a servant in her aunt's household. Julia becomes a mail order bride in order to escape from that life. The book is a fun, fast read similar to a fairy tale, and is an amusing way to spend a few hours. Bethany Kay's narration is fine and her voice is amiable. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.
