Publisher's summary

MMA cage fighter Jude Malone leads a simple life - eat, sleep and train. His older brother Jax is a legend in the octagon, and while Jude's had his fair share of recent losses, he's better than his record. He just needs a chance to prove it.

When Jude is suddenly offered the fight of a lifetime by his head coach, there is only one tiny string attached. He decides to go for it, but that little string just might turn out to be the one that unravels him completely.

Sadie Briggs is a quiet, introverted tomboy. She was raised by a single father and grew up in his MMA training gym with dozens of sweaty, aggressive men. They only think of her as their sweet little sister, not as a woman who is getting ready to go off to college. That all changes when her longtime crush, Jude Malone, becomes her knight in shining armor after her boyfriend dumps her the week before her senior prom.

Jude feels like he's been sucker punched when Sadie's unexpected Cinderella transformation forces him to actually see her as a woman for the very first time. Overwhelming lust, jealousy and passion turn out to be the right combination to finally unlock Jude's cocky alpha fighter inside and out of the cage. Only one thing stands in the way of him winning the world championship welterweight title and a gorgeous girl. The truth.

Good MMA romance

I enjoyed this audiobook, except for one thing. The narration kept switching every chapter from the hero to heroine (which I don't mind), but the mans voice narrated the heroine's part and that was just awful. Sometimes it was hard to know if it was the heroine or hero speaking. Overall the storyline was really enjoyable.

GOOD 2ND BOOK....

GOOD 2ND BOOK in the series! JAX IS THE FIRST HOWEVER YOU DO NOT HAVE TO READ THEM IN ORDER THEY ARE BOTH STAND ALONE BOOKS!! Jude makes an appearance in Jax's book just like Jax make appearances in Jude's book! The story lines are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT & BOTH ARE GOOD!! Jude took a bit longer to get to the point where I just can't stop listening! That's why Jude is 4 STARS where JAX was 5! The MOST IMPORTANT PART THOUGH IS IT MADE IT TO THAT STAGE! I LOVE THE COCKY CAGE FIGHTER SERIES! I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT LANE HART COMES UP WITH NEXT!!
It was cool to hear a different narrator for each brother!!

**THIS IS 1 OF THE ONLY SERIES I ABSOLUTELY LOVE(so far)THAT HAS A LOT OF ADULT SCENES IN THEM!**

Even better in audio

These books were some of my first romance books I ever read. So they hold a special place in my heart but WOW! In audio they are even more amazing. Love them hard ❤️

Love these guys

I love the Cocky Cage Fighters! And the women they fall for are amazing 😁. I'm not to biggest fan of single narration for a dual POV but it wasn't too bad. He did well with the voice changes

Amazing Read!!

What did you love best about Jude?

This story was captivating! I don't think I can pick out one thing that I loved the best.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Jude?

The most memorable for me, was the moment Jude knew he couldn't be without Sadie!

Have you listened to any of Patrick Blackthorne’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is the first performance by Patrick and I'm looking forward to listening to more.

Jude ~ One Sexy, Hot, Cocky Fighter!

I loved Jude from book one! His character was care-free, upbeat, happy and just fun to listen too. When I noticed his story was out in audio, I had to snatch it up! WOW! I loved how his character became this sexy, hot alpha with a slightly dominate side, and jealous strike, it made some of the sex scenes hot! Really HOT!

Possible Spoilers;
Jude's story was steamy, with some great sex scenes; however, I felt the plot was more on the YA lines. Jude is an up and coming MMA fighter in his early 20's. He makes a deal with his coach to secretly ask his coach's 18 year old daughter, Sadie, to her prom. Sadie's had a secrete crush on Jude and was excited when he asked her out to the prom. She put a lot of effort into looking good prom night, and gained confidence from her transformation, but some of her actions were really immature. This is where I thought Lane Hart did a great job with Sadie's character. Sadie and her actions were a good representation of an 18 year old about to graduate. She wasn't this 18 year old living on her own, working two jobs to support herself, but rather just a normal girl interested in looking good, wanting to party and hangout with her friends and date the guy she's had a crush on. However, Sadie also had a really immature side and made bad decisions, especially when she was trying to make Jude jealous by flirting with other guys. There was no cheating; however, Sadie was just about willing to do anything to make Jude jealous. These actions were immature, and felt like something a teenager would do.

I know this is only book two; however, I had change in narrator blues. Aaron Shedlock narrated book one and Patrick Blackthorne narrated book two and honestly they both did a great job. It's just Jude's character had a lot of dialogue in book one, and I was used to how Aaron portrayed Jude's character. When Patrick actually narrated his story, it almost felt like two completely different characters because of the different narrator styles. Just my opinion, in series where the same characters will appear in each book, and have a strong presence, I think having the same narrator who develops and uses the same voice for the characters, adds consistency and makes it easier and quicker to identify the characters by their voice. It's also more enjoyable getting to know the characters voices.

Other than the immature actions of Sadie, I enjoyed this story and loved how Lane developed the plot to include the other characters who will appear in future stories. I can't wait to listen to their stories, especially Linc's.

Preferred Jax’s story

I think my biggest issue with this book is some of the content.
First, I found the author’s decision to allow a teacher who has a sexual relationship with a student, not get punished by the law, is irresponsible, in my opinion. This teacher is even allowed to live her HEA after abandoning her husband and two sons. WTF?
I also thought that an almost 22 year old “nice”guy who takes a 18 year old, close family friend on a first date to her high school prom, and then has sex with her? Is tacky as hell. You’d think that, out of respect and common decency, he would choose to handle his attraction by openly courting the girl before jumping into bed with her.
I did think the author nailed the character traits of an immature 18 year old, on the head. She makes several stupid mistakes and even more poor decisions. However, I would hope that the father of this girl would not act the way that her father did.
Rather than a real romance, This book came across as more of an instructional guide of all the bad decisions a person should avoid. I’m sorry, but I feel that Lane Hart missed the mark, on this one.

I just can’t

Had to give up a few chapters in. Story and narrator were absurd. I liked the first one but this one is ridiculous.
