Publisher's Summary

Witness Jules Verne's uncanny ability to predict the future possibilities of science....

On their quest to reach the very core of the Earth, Professor Lindenbrock and his nephew, Axel, gain access to the interior by travelling north to cold and barren Iceland, where they enter the subterranean regions through the cone of the extinct volcano Sneffels.

In their descent, they must interpret nature backward passing through the strata of successively earlier and earlier periods, eventually finding themselves in a marvelous underground world filled with exotic plants and long-extinct animals. A journey as fantastic as it is predictive, Journey to the Center of the Earth shows Verne at the height of his career.

If you love Earth Sciences, you'll love this!

If you could sum up Journey to the Center of the Earth in three words, what would they be?

I would say that to sum it up, the book was effectively an intellectuals tale into the abyss of the mind and the possibility of something greater than we will ever know.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I would say the Icelander... He was epic.

What about David Colacci’s performance did you like?

I think he did his emotions quite well.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Nope.
