Publisher's summary

The joy is in the journey! We all have our own journey in life with ups and downs. Sometimes it feels like things will never go our way, yet if we are bold enough to face our fears, learn from our failures and heal from our pain, then we can find the overflowing joy. This story is about my journey, which has led me to the realization that yes, the joy is in the journey.

Unmatched Honest Moving Shocking & Life Changing

Captivated by the raw and unapologetic story of the authors life, this reading is so moving, that it's honestly life changing. I have read this book, but it was certainly served differently being read out loud, by the author himself. This story proves that life's struggles happen to all of us, but it's how you deal with it that really makes the difference.
This book changed my life when I read it last year.
It took me 5 hours to complete and it took just a bit over 5 hours to listen to, as well.

I started this book, on a Sunday cleaning day at 11am. However, 30 minutes in, I knew there were changes I have to make in my life, along with relationships I needed to try and repair. Something about the authors voice made it real, and made my emotions resurface that I had tried so long to bury.
Though I hadn't seen nor spoken to my daughter in 3 years, I knew the time was now.
The book, his writing, his words, his voice...not only was it compelling, but it was relatable as well. It occurred to me if bad things could happen to him and he could turn it all around, then why couldn't I do the same?
I abruptly stopped what I was doing at 11:30am, and, as hard as it was for me, I bravely picked up the phone and invited my daughter over for dinner to reconcile our relationship.

Thank you so much, Mr. David Tutera for showing that even wildly successful people can still fall; but falling doesn't mean failing. Trudging forward thru the hard times, growing and learning from those mistakes will keep us from failure. Some relationships are worth mending. Don't let the loved ones go and don't let the bad people take you down the rabbit hole with them.
Thank you for turning this into an audio book. The struggle and pain in your voice told a story that eyes could not read, but that ears could hear. It helped me begin to rekindle the relationship that I have needed so badly for years in my personal life.

By 6pm, my daughter, my son in law, and my brand new granddaughter (that I had never met or seen before), were at my house for a big spaghetti dinner.
And we are working on becoming a happy family, again.
All because of this book.
Thank you so much.
