The hand-written account of a woman trying to survive in a world gone dead.
Something has happened to the world, and now the living are gradually becoming the living dead. This is the story of one young woman's struggle to live a life that has no future.
Donna Prewalt is on the move from St. Louis back to Alabama. The journal tells the story of her life on the road as she tries to return to her family. Since the Big Bang has destroyed most human life, she is fighting to stay alive. Between the zombies and the hunters, she is constantly on the run.
Mitch is working with the hunters, trying to get rid of the zombies. He becomes responsible for helping Donna stay safe.
Since a meteor crashed to Earth, creating a world of horror for the few living people in it, Donna keeps a journal of her life as she tries to find out if her family is still alive.

Reseñas de la Crítica
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Neutral. It certainly wasn't time well spent but I didn't feel it was a waste of my time either. How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Different narrator.Would you be willing to try another one of Linda Mooney’s performances?
No.Could you see Journal being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
No. It's not different enough. Same as every other zombie story out there.Any additional comments?
It may just be time for me to take a break from all of the zombie stories for a while. They're all starting to blur together. Except for a few standout stories (like the Book of Riley series) they're all the same unoriginal gory flesh-eating living dead tales. This story was....fine... just plain, ordinary, and fine.Time to take a break
