Publisher's summary

Explore the fascinating life of John F. Kennedy

Gallup's List of Widely Admired People of the 20th Century places President John F. Kennedy in the third slot, behind Martin Luther King, Jr., and Mother Teresa. Needless to say, President Kennedy's name is one that will not soon be forgotten.

Many people will simply recall him as the handsome president who reigned for a short while before his unfortunate death at the hands of an assassin in Dallas, Texas. They may recall he was the youngest president to have been sworn into the presidential office or he dealt with issues such as the Cuban Missile Crisis.

The general American public and the world know much about the surface of JFK's life - they know of his affairs and his ill health - but they often do not recall anything about who he was as a person or how he interacted with his wife and family. This audiobook aims to unveil all this information along with many more captivating facts about the life of John F. Kennedy.

Some of the topics covered in this audiobook include:

  • Childhood and Education
  • Personal Life
  • Relationship with Jackie Kennedy
  • Naval Service
  • Congressional Career
  • 1960 Presidential Race
  • Foreign Policy
  • Domestic Policy
  • Assassination

Classic Book on John F. Kennedy.

This book, in difference, tells the stories of factual statesman who endangered (and sometimes lost) their careers in going against the public in supporting what they thought to be right.

Important view about the famous JFK

It is as decent today as when some read it in early 60’s or near Mr. JFK. I will listen it second time for sure. Much more understanding this time around.

A premier book.

A great introduction to the JFK life, from childhood to death! If you are new to this subject, I would definitely recommend it.

A personality of the history.

This book reminds me of the reasons I appreciate Mr. Kennedy as a president, notwithstanding the statistic that I'm both 16 and a conservative Republican. The book presented precisely what made him great, and reminded me of all the reasons our country is great.

I got so much

There is a great book for scholars or historians who are already well-versed in the defects of the Camelot legend. But overall listeners interested in broad coverage of JFK’s life are likely to find the book’s tone too imbalanced, too petty and lacking in scholastic gravitas.I got so much.

Highly recommended.

The book has rich detail about the president's persistent. I found this book so enjoyable as far as seeing the "real" JFK the best-written book, you did feel like you get to know him aside from the face he had to put on at times in front of America.

Good insight here!!!

He seemed like a pretty cool guy, really hate being so scrutinized in the public eye and just wanted their private life to be private. The book was supportive and equal on this topic. Good insight here.

Inspirational book, woth listening.

Encouraging reading; and currently, its message reverberates meaningfully, providing perilous insight and food for thought in our era of political commotion and ingredients' suspicion and unimportance towards their politicians...

Well done!!!

I am no Kennedy scholar but the results that even when he did well it was only for political gain got to be rather emotional and unbelievable at times. The book was a fascinating in a gossipy kind of way.Well done!!!
