WWSOD - What would Scarlett O’Hara do?

Anything to survive, that’s what. But instead of a man-eating Southern belle in hoop skirts and big hats, my version of existence looks an awful lot like a financial conglomerate employee staring blankly at budget analysis spreadsheets. Either way, the motto has served me well most my life. Until now, that is.

The corporate retreat location has just been announced, and this city girl is headed to a dude ranch in the country. How will Scarlett help me survive that? No, this time I’ll turn to the sage advice of preteen YouTubers and their ponies to keep me from making a fool of myself.

But who’s going to help me navigate the kind yet reticent cowboy in the black Stetson - the cattle ranch owner who’s slowly claiming corners of my heart?

Beautiful Story- Didn't Stop until I Finish

This is the first book I read in this series and I really loved it! Jocelyn is quite the character although as I was introduced to her friends, I can totally see why given her friend circle.

I particularly loved the humor in this story. My initial plan had been to listen to an hour or so but once I started, I found I had to finish the entire book which is a good personal benchmark of how much I am enjoying a story. I'm looking forward to reading another book in this series :)

awww

cute, fun listen. loved the story. My only quibble is that the narrator mispronounced Willamette and Oregon.

Clean

This claims to be a rom-com, but I honestly didn’t find very much of it to be funny. It dealt with a lot of sad issues (race, growing up in poverty, being treated differently for being a woman in the workplace, struggling to keep a ranch afloat, etc). I was wanting something fun and light so this didn’t hit the spot for me.
The narrator had a great voice, but I probably could have finished the book a lot faster had I just read it- it took a long time to get thru listening to it.
A cute book and cute idea- just isn’t what I would consider a rom-com.

Great story!

A fun, sweet romance. I recommend it!

However I didn't care for the narrator. She used a sultry voice and let beer sentences trail off.

Loved returning to the sewing group!

After loving Molly, the first book in Sarah Monzon's Sewing in SoCal series, I was thrilled to have a chance to visit with these friends again. This time Jocelyn takes center stage. As a Black female accountant in corporate America, Jocelyn has made it a goal to keep her head down, work hard, and not have anyone question her place.

But when the corporate retreat is scheduled for a dude ranch, it throws this city girl completely out of her element. She doesn't even own a pair of jeans, and she watches horse riding tutorials on YouTube to prepare for the event. What on earth is she getting into?

Malachi Thomas is fighting to keep his family's ranch afloat. As an introvert, he'd just as soon nix the dude ranch responsibilities, but the tourists provide much-needed income. When the CPA group arrives, one woman charms his dog, his horse, and his family. Who is this Jocelyn Dormus, and what has she done to win the hearts of those surrounding Malachi? His own heart might be in danger if he's not careful.

Jocelyn and Malachi both wrestle with issues of family, dreams, and calling. Is the safest route always the right one?

Like Molly, I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The narrator was wonderful and I would definitely listen to this story again for its humor and heartwarming moments.

Great series!

This was such a fun story to listen to. The narrator was great. I love western. Mix that with some city life bumbling and you have a wonderful story.
