Penslar culminates with a study of Israel's War of Independence as a Jewish world war, which drew on the military expertise and financial support of a mobilized, global Jewish community. Interesting
Quite interesting and panoramic, but almost completely neglect probably the most important change in the history of Jewish part in military affairs, the unprecedented involvement of Jews in the Red Army and Soviet army that wad by far more deep and significant than in any other country in the world.
