Publisher's summary

A Novel of Christ’s Victory Over the Powers

The story of Christ like you’ve never heard it before.

Told through the eyes of the two thieves on the cross and the spiritual warfare hidden from mortal men but seen by Mary Magdalene.

It starts with the temptation in the desert by Satan and ends with Christ’s descent into Hades, his resurrection and his ascension.

What happened to Jesus when he died? What did he do in Hades those three days? Who were the train of captives in his ascension? Now, you’ll find out.

The story of Jesus Christ is told in the context of the Biblical motif of Messiah taking back the inheritance of the nations from the principalities and powers.

When it comes to spiritual warfare, Jesus was no pacifist.

Jesus Triumphant is the eighth book of the series Chronicles of the Nephilim, a biblical epic story of the fallen angelic Watchers and their offspring, the Nephilim giants of Genesis 6.

Written by respected Christian and best-selling Biblical author, Brian Godawa.

Learn about the historical and biblical research behind the novel

Author Godawa shares an appendix that explores the Biblical theology of Christ’s descent into Hades, as well as the true nature of demons, the binding of spirits, the Gates of Hades and how it connects with Mount Hermon. You will never read the Gospels the same again.

On the age appropriateness of the novels

This Biblical Fiction series is rated PG-13, appropriate for mature teens and above, similar to the Bible and The Lord of the Rings.

Excellent Story

I really loved the story and how all of the previous books in the series tied in. I found that this was an emotional experience that brought both joy and tears while listening. I really look forward to the next series.

I loved it!

I feel like the Mary magdiline part was misconstrued and doesn't match the written Word.

amazing truths!!!

The things written in this book arenot even spoken nor preached in any churches ,amazing truths and great performance from the beloved author unveiling things that are being kept in the fog and in the dark by the authorities and by the principalities that are even within the church system, unfortunately, but there are few awesome resources for those that are seeking truth. ;and the truth will set us free. God bless Brian G.for his heart and hard work to bring all these truths on the table!:):)Oh Yeah! !

Kept Wanting More

I’ve finished the entire Chronicles of the Nephilim series and totally enthralled with the storielines. The author’s research and his imagination on how the biblical characters might have lived their lives was certainly an eye opener for me. Could not put the books down and had to also get it in audio so I could listen while driving and doing housework. I’m on to the Apocalypse series.

A Must Read for All Christians

What did you love best about Jesus Triumphant?

It is a dramatic version of the greatest story ever told!

What other book might you compare Jesus Triumphant to and why?

Similar to the Third Heaven Series, Birth of a God, also a great book.

Have you listened to any of Brian Godawa’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

ALL OF THEM. They are all TERRIFIC!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Not sure.

Any additional comments?

As a researcher of biblical texts and a fiction author, I could hardly wait for each of these books in the nephilim series. The story is not fiction, only some portions left out of history and scripture were added to connect the dots. His depiction of the war of the seed is a vital topic for all Christians to understand. This story starts in the third Chapter of Genesis, with the first prophecy we see coming from the mouth of God when he promises to put enmity between the seed of the serpent and the seed of the woman. The bible as we know it today will not make much sense (when linking all books together as a complete picture), unless you understand how that very prophecy unfolds through the passage of almost six thousand years. Most Western Christians are sadly ignorant about the war of the seed and most historical accounts that support the bible as we know it today. Brian Godawa brings the scriptures to life. His books are not just fiction but a great way to help others understand just how far Yeshua would go to save his own creation from destruction. I cannot wait for other books in this series!

Great last part, wish there were more

I was wondering how the author would incorporate the story of Jesus Christ himself into his fantasy series about the Nephilim. Well, now I know: very well!
I love the through line between all 8 novels, where the nephilim we get to know in the first parts keep returning in the other parts, often taking different shapes and names, but to the reader it's clear it's them. I like the author's take on the possibility that this is how things happened. Of course they are all novels, thus fantasy, but still the author's ideas made me think. And I love that about a good novel: it has a great story, lots of action, romance and even sex, yet it makes you think about deeper meanings.

If you made it to part 8 I'm going to assume you liked the first 7, just like me. So of course I recommend this novel, and the entire series.
