Publisher's summary

Three most unusual murders, a portal to a ghostly realm, and tea sandwiches dressed to impress!

When Jessie and her friends witness the grisly aftermath of three unusual murders, they enter a realm unlike any they've ever known in search of answers. Jessie's still getting used to seeing her dear departed mother and Granny in spirit form, along with the neighboring shape shifter. However, three mysterious doorways in the Inn's basement promise more adventure, more mystery, and more newly-discovered abilities.

Will Jessie, her friends Cammy Jo and Ginny, her little Beagle Arthur, and some help from Granny be enough to solve the crime, or will they be lost forever in the Sanctum of Shadows?

Bit different

Not bad, enjoyed the story. Got a little weird in the SOS, but flowed well.

Great Book!

Any additional comments?

This is a great book; this is the second book in the Whispering Pines Mystery series written by Constance Barker and A.J. DeBellis and narrated by Angel Clark. This book can be listened to in one sitting if you have the time, once I started listening to it I didn’t want to put it down until the end.

The narrator Angel Clark did a great job with this book. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to in one sitting and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end.

If you are looking for a great book with well-developed characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator.

A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Ghosts, portals, poor narration!

Jessie Delacroix and the Sanctum of Shadows
Whispering Pines Mystery Series, Book 2
By: Constance Barker, A.J. DeBellis
Narrated by: Angel Clark

This is a book I requested from freeaudiblecodes and the review is my own opinion.
This book continues with Jessie learning about her town's secrets and the Inn's too. She knows about her mom and grandma being a ghost there but she finds out more.
This book has portals, a shifter, new ghosts, and a pirate.
The pros:
*Jessie expanding her powers
*New ghosts
*Hot shifter
The cons:
*Her grandma is still so annoying that I which she would cross over already!
*The narrator! Her voice is like nails on a chalkboard.

I got all three of these books while I had the chance and I wish I had gotten the ebooks. I think I would have enjoyed them more.

Adventurous

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

An intriguing murder, a secret door, time portals, crazy murderous pirates, and 3 lovely wenches! This was such a fun book. Just figuring out what was going on with the crazy time portals and getting everything back into place was fun. She ends up solving the murder that happened back home in her time but of course... it’s a hard one to explain to the sheriff if she can explain it at all.
Definitely recommend this series!

Enjoyable

Jessie and her friends are caught up in three murders, and they don’t look like actually murders. She didn’t count on the ghosts that Iinhabit this place, enjoyable as has been her other stories I have read. Good narration by Clark and added to this story. Given audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

What a bewitching book!

Jessie's unusual life, narrated by the honey-like voice of Angel Clark, makes for a fast-paced and fun book. Despite the mysterious nature of what she much deal with, the light-heartedness of her attitude and friends keeps listeners pleased with the story.

different

This was interesting with the paranormal and sci fi aspects added in. I liked it. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job.
