nice books

listeners will graduate from this book of basics by being able to create a program on their own. Javascript has a number of uses for voracious programmers to apply. A spelling correction and the addition of hyphens would improve the narrative portions. author is very knowledgeable on the topic of Javascript

clear and easy to follow

I opened the book and then walked through the exercises on my computer. Everything was clear and easy to follow. At no point did I get "lost". This is really a great introduction to JavaScript. If you think you might want to gain expertise with this important computer tool, this is an easy (and inexpensive) way to test your aptitude

good progrming

I've tried to learn programming for a really long time, and I found most of the books on this topic very confusing. This book really helped me understand programming and javascript on a very deep level. I can now say that I'm fairly proficient in javascript.
I can definitively recommend it to anyone who wants to learn javascript and programming

outstanding book

I have been working with Javascript and Jquery for about 3 years now and when I started it was a bumpy road. I wish I would have found this book first before starting my journey. It does a great job of a laying out the basics and how to transition to more advanced lines of code and how to interpret them

Great starting point for JavaScript learning

I'm very happy with this follow up to the first Ground Up JavaScript book. The author uses the same style, explaining the concepts like you've never seen code, then delivering concise code examples and explaining why. Love this series.

must listen

. It goes into detail about the background and history of Java, and follows up by explaining some of the functions of Java and how to use them. The author provides a step-by-step guide at the end to build a simple program. There's plenty for beginners here, but not enough to overwhelm them with information. Well done!
