Not meant for Auible

This book was not meant for Audible. The presenter reads each programming statement character after character. Pick up the paper copy or the Kindle Version and it is probably just fine.

Well done!

This is a well written little Java book. It goes into detail about the background and history of Java, and follows up by explaining some of the functions of Java and how to use them. The author provides a step-by-step guide at the end to build a simple program. There's plenty for beginners here, but not enough to overwhelm them with information. Well done!

glad to have this book

This book is the most comprehensive text on Java I could find. It should be for the price. Unlike other books on Java, it actually has a glossary (!), it actually diagrams common Java statements such as "public static void main(String [] args)"--THIS IS THE ONLY BOOK ON JAVA THAT EXPLAINED TO ME EXACTLY WHAT THAT FREAKING STATEMENT MEANS!!!
It ain't cheap, but it's well worth it.

one of my best book

I really like the layout of this text book. My college course uses this text book to teach basic Java. So far I am very impressed with the overall learning experience that this book provides. I have looked at a tonne of books that teach Java and this is definitely one of the best

amazing

I had to get this for a Java course. It covers a lot of basic concepts, but it also misses a lot. There's very little on GUI design and no mention of design patterns or concepts you actually need if you have a job coding Java. I'd recommend it to beginners.

great tips

I have to say I'm very impressed. I hate java, it's far from easy and I've done workshops that left me confused.

awesome book

Awesome book. I like this book. This book well writing and helpful. And that's java, from here you could learn about interfaces, files, loggers algorithms, data structures, perhaps even the basics of server programming, but it will all be, in one way or another- an extension of what you learned here. I highly recommend this book

great for beginners

This is the most easy to understand eBook I've ever read about Java Programming. Surely you will learn a lot of useful information on how this Java Programming works; the instructions and guidelines are very easy to follow and understand. The flow of the book is structured in a neat way you won't find in every book.
How the book introduces a concept, then get into how that concept can lead into a certain problem, and introduces a new concept to eliminate that problem. Great recommended to all it students
