Publisher's Summary

Before becoming the author of such classics as "Sense and Sensibility", "Pride and Prejudice", and "Emma", Jane Austen experimented with various writing styles as a teenager in the early 1790s. This is a collection of her juvenilia, including the epistolary novels "Love and Freindship", "Lesley Castle", and "Lady Susan", as well as her comic "History of England" and some shorter pieces. Painful to listen to!

While nowhere near the quality of her novels, JA's early works are still worth experiencing, but the narration is so painfully bad that the words themselves are totally destroyed and I had to abandon this audiobook. It's a great shame that this is the only version available. Unless that changes, I can only say...stick to the book!
