Publisher's summary

A bored and curious little girl, Jamie Malone wishes for a bit of sunshine on a cloudy day. But a friendly balloon soon whisks her off for an adventure in the sky, where she can float into the clouds and soon meets her new nature friends in the sky. How do clouds float? Or carry the rain? Where do they go when they disappear? Are there clouds on other planets? Do they have memories? Have they ever seen a girl like her?

This dreamy book from the inimitable Jennifer Pierre features her trademark stunning, light-infused words that beautifully capture the wondrousness of clouds and the power of nature to inspire and stimulate imaginations.

Loved it!

I wish a book like this was available when I was a little girl. The audio book experience is new to me, and I was pleasantly
surprised. I closed my eyes as I listened to the story of Jamie. The narrator brings each character to life...the bossy brother, the grumpy cloud and most of all Jamie, as she learns more about herself. This audio book will make a great Christmas present for
little girls.

A must-have for your young child!

Jamie and the Cloud People is an engaging story. Jamie learns to deal with both a human bully (her big brother) and then cloud bullies, when her balloons take her up, up, up on an adventure in the sky. The story is engaging, and the audio narration is wonderful. The reader's voice keeps us listening and she does a great job of capturing the different characters. We cheer Jamie on as she finds her own voice and learns that she is not "a little runt" after all. I highly recommend this book and audiobook!
