Publisher's Summary

Hilarious, candid, and full of shenanigans, YouTube sensation Mamrie Hart - the New York Times best-selling author of You Deserve a Drink - is back with more adventures.

When Mamrie simultaneously enters her 30s and finds herself single for the first time since college, the world is suddenly full of possibilities. Emboldened by the cool confidence that comes with the end of one's 20s plus the newfound independence of an attachment-free lifestyle, Mamrie commits herself to living life with even more spirit, adventure, and heart than before. Mamrie dives into new experiences at full-tilt and seeks out once-in-a-lifetime opportunities (like meeting the Dixie Chicks), bucket-list goals (like visiting the Moulin Rouge), and madcap adventures (like going anchors-away on a Backstreet Boys cruise) - all while diving back into the dating world for the first time in a decade.

In I've Got This Round, listeners will find the same shameless honesty and I'll-try-anything-once spirit they loved in Hart’s New York Times best seller You Deserve a Drink. Mamrie doubles down on her strong female friendships, her willingness to engage in shenanigans, and her inimitable candor, taking the reader along for a wild and unforgettable journey through adulting.

Includes a bonus PDF with images.

This book got me to write a review!!!!

If you could sum up I've Got This Round in three words, what would they be?

A MA ZING

Who was your favorite character and why?

Mamrie's stories were just so entertaining!

What about Mamrie Hart’s performance did you like?

She has to be the best narrator/story teller that I have heard on audible.
She was engaging from the first word and I listen to this in one day!!!!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Kohlrabi...not just a vegetable anymore.

Any additional comments?

I wish she would make an audible version of her first book!

PDF?

I loved it! But I cannot find the pdf anywhere. I miss the pictures mentioned, and audible saying "it will be in your library" makes me feel cheated. As it is not there.

Not surprised

Mamrie's stories are the best stories. After the first book, knew that I'd love this one, and I was right.

Good stories! It’s fun and feels like she’s your crazy friend!

I’ve always been a fan of Grace Helbig and I listen to her guidebook basically weekly. I kept seeing Mamrie’s book suggested to me so I decided to finally give it a shot. It was fun and light and I really like that she is the one reading it. The pictures are a great addition too. The only thing I didn’t like was the chapter that had to do with the Trump election. I skipped through a lot of it. I hate politics with a passion and don’t care that you cried on a plane about it and went through your 5 stages of grief. It was all a little over dramatic. But the Irish bar story and Frasierween were big redeemers lol I’m glad it ended on more silly/fun notes.

Thank you!

There’s a few things you need to know about me before you keep going. 1. I’m born and raised in Puerto Rico, still feeling Maria aftermath. 2. I’m an undergrad currently suffering the most anxiety I’ve ever felt in my entire college experience. 3. I’m 27.

I’ve loved Mamrie since the first time I saw a YDAD video, inevitably binging every single thing she’s ever been on, so naturally as soon as I learned she had written a book I was all over that. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to read this one when it came out so I feel I’m a little late to the party, but none the less, I’m glad I read it (heard it) now.

Like I said, there’s some very real ptsd happening still due to hurricane Maria all around so having moments to escape are crucial. Most of us are superficially ok, but nobody talks about how collectively depressed we are. As a 27 year old undergrad, of course I feel anxiety over pretty much everything, add to that the fact that I feel more stuck than I’ve ever felt in my life. So in a way I could relate to what this goddess is talking about in those first chapters.

I’ve never related more to a stranger than after listening to her talk about those first few months being alone. I’m in a happy, healthy open relationship so it wasn’t a single girl solidarity feeling but more of a finding ways to be comfortable with silence and finding your space feeling. I remember getting to that point in the book and crying over how much I could relate and for the first time I heard someone articulate so perfectly how I was feeling. She might not have been “eat-pray-loving it”, but I’m definitely doing something like that.

After a very difficult year of “getting back to normal”, this book was the light at the end of the tunnel. From the bottom of my healing heart I say thank you, not just for this beautiful journey, but for your relief efforts after the hurricane, you have no idea what that means to me. Thank you so so much for giving me peace at a time where my overthinking head needed a very much deserved rest. Thank you for sharing your stories and giving me a little more hope.

PS. I ran as I listened to it and almost died from laughing so hard at the idea of giant panties followed by another burst of laughter at the thought that I must look like a crazy person who is very winded, red in the face and now sporadically laughing in a track filled with fellow runners.

Gotta love Mametown

Gotta love Mametown. This book and her last had me actually laughing out loud. Reminiscent of Bourdain and Thompson but uniquely original and modern. Listening to her read it is icing on the cake!

Didn't know what to expect but I loved it!

I used to love reading, it would take me a long time to get through a book as I find it really hard to concentrate where I'm dyslexic but when I get into it, even if I have to go back and 're read or get things a bit scrambled up it's the best to watch a movie in your head about what you're reading while you're reading. I became really down for a long time and wasn't able to bring myself to read anything longer than my work emails. I ready wanted to read this book as I love Mamrie Hart, she's so damn funny, so when I found I could listen to it, read by her! I had to get audable to hear it. Such a great listen! It made me laugh, smile and took me through her roller coaster of emotions and overall journey. if you know of her you'll find this the best, and if you don't know of her, you wish you did before this.
Thank you to audible and Mamrie for making it possible for me to have the experience of the book with out the mental strain of reading. I actually heard of audible through Mamrie's YouTube so I'll be checking out other books too because of her.
seriously, amazing listen.

Couldn't Wait!

Pre-ordered my physical copy back in November only to get an email to say it wouldn't be delivered until Valentine's Day.. Great present to my single ass self, from my single ass self!

Only thing is I couldn't wait that long so I got the audio book too, I am so glad I did....My co-workers... I don't care if they didn't appreciate my giggling and occasional snort laughs because this book was worth it.

Picked right up from YDAD and just as hilarious and relatable. I can't wait to read and hopefully hear the next round, Cheers!
