Tao has been built into the foundation of East Asian culture for millennia, and many books have been written to explain it. But Tao cannot fully be explained in words; it can only felt and experienced. Tao is something you live, day by day, moment by moment. It's the omnipresent oneness beyond ephemeral phenomena that expresses itself in everything.

Story
Each of us has experienced, at least once in his life, the feeling of awakening, as if he had been dreaming a moment before, like when we stop being lost in thought and return with our attention turned outward. The reality is that we live in a state of unconsciousness, but we believe we are awake; we believe we are the ones making decisions, but the truth is something else. This audiobook represents a modern key to personal awakening, full of simple, personal, and practical advice, with the hope that it will help the listener to approach a higher state of consciousness.

Publisher's Summary
New York Times best-selling author and one of the most renowned meditation teachers in our time, Ilchi Lee challenges you to radically rethink your ideas on aging, health, personal fulfillment, and what's possible in your lifetime.
This highly anticipated book has been already loved by many big name authors including Don Miguel Ruiz, Dr. Christiane Northrup, Michael Beckwith, and Dr. Emeran Mayer. This is the book of life mastery for the brave hearted.
For most of our lives, we work hard, reaching for success, until we are faced with retirement. If you retire at age 65, you may think you have about 20 more years to relax and enjoy your life. But what if you had more time? What if you had another 40 or 50 years to live? Would it make a difference in how you lived?
Ilchi Lee stresses that you can extend your life way beyond what most of us have accepted as our biological age limit, even up to 120 years. But the real question is, can we have not only a long life, but also a fulfilling one? Lee's answer is a resounding yes, and it starts with the power of choice, a practice of self-reliance, and most importantly, a greater sense of purpose.
A visionary and master teacher who globalized ancient Korea's mind-body tradition, Ilchi Lee lays out a clear path to a new paradigm of longevity and mastery of life. Through personal experience, compelling stories, the wisdom of an ancient Korean holistic practice, and current research on longevity and fulfillment, Lee shows listeners how to live fully at any age without regrets.
The inspiration and practical advice you find in this audiobook propels you to make the necessary changes in your life that would make a 120-year life full of vitality, passion, and purpose possible.

Great Book that Changed My Life
I loved listening to the book while reading it on my Kindle at the same time. I read it 4 times and I am reading/ listening to it again. It really helped me to create a goal that I plan to pursue for the second half of my life, so at the time of my death, I will have no regrets and will be at peace with myself. Thank you for a great inspiring book.

not what I thought it would be
So I have listened to about 3 hours of this book and the only thing I have learned about living to 120 years is Mr Lee does wall 120 years. He does throw in bits about eating healthy but I already know that.
Talking about death as much as he does is really depressing!!
Oh he does mention his website quite a bit where you can buy his other products, it is almost like the book is advertising for his website.
Pure waste of time and money!

I felt this audio/book fell short with any true nuggets to information to help one love a health strong life. The goes into a sell about a center in New Zealand 🇳🇿 . I'm assuming he owns this retreat and feels this is the place to connect with mother earth so help one get insight into a rich life.
I have always felt refreshed after hiking in the great redwood trees and ocean coast of Northern California.
In summary, the book is selling his retreat cloaked around living longer.

Inspiring book at any age.
I’ve decided to live 120 years is a book about what it means to live your life for something greater than just your own personal fulfillment. We all reach a point where the success driven narrative of our society fails our inherent desire to feel fulfilled. It happened to me when I was 27, and even though I had everything I needed in my life, I felt an emptiness I couldn’t fill with family, friends, or school, or work. This book is one of many that helped me realize the value of my life beyond the desires for partnership, family, a good job, etc. I learned about my desire for “Hong Ik,” my desire to widely benefit others, including my family, my community, and the earth.

This is not your typical anti-aging guide.
I found the insights in this book so positive, uplifting and inspiring. When I first heard about the title, I thought not me! But with listening to this book, I'm inspired to keep going for a very long time. Indeed, this book changed my outlook on life. It helped me rediscover the importance of self care and having a purpose in life. Ilchi Lee outlines a plan on how you can create a life you truly want and how to live it. I found this book practical and deeply inspiring at the same time. It’s a book that should also resonate with younger readers and not just older adults.
