Publisher's Summary

Not just another audio language program, the On the Move series features an engaging, natural approach to language learning ideally suited for today's hurry-up world.

Unlike other audio programs that feature dreary drill formats and seemingly endless word lists, these innovative programs convey all the vitality and color of the cultures in which the languages are spoken.

A lively narrator guides listeners through each course, at times meeting up with two other native speakers who take part in an unfolding story line that encompasses an array of everyday subjects, from meeting people, eating, dining, and shopping to getting around town, telling stories, and family relationships.

Fun and challenging

This course is better for people with some exposure to Italian. The short conversations are at a normal speaking speed for a native speaker. However the stories are engaging and the quizzes reinforce the new vocabulary and grammar well. There is a good mix of travel and daily life phrases and grammar lessons. Goes beyond most language courses for travelers.

orribile!

I'm a former Spanish teacher, have some experience with second language acquisition theory, and I love learning languages. This was one of the least helpful language programs that I have ever found. Waaaay too much English and a very annoying, patronizing main narrator.
