Such a creative way to learn a new language! I thought the narrator was very clear and enunciated words veery well. Knowing some basic Italian I can confirm the accuracy of certain phrases and pronunciation of words. The stories are very engaging and I definitely recommend it to people who want to get a slightly more interactive experience with learning a new language. Perfect tool for that!

Perfect tool for strengthening my language skills

Italian Short Stories for Beginners by Talk in Italian accustoms the beginner to recognize common Italian words and expressions. The audiobook challenges the learner to acquire new vocabulary as beginners getting acquainted to the style of the Italian short story and natural rhythm of the language.

Although introduced to Italian when I was younger, I still feel like a beginner. However, I feel that Italian Short Stories for beginners will be a perfect tool for strengthening my language skills to really get me to a new level of confidence in the language.

Highly enjoyed this

It read a little fast for me but I enjoyed it and learned a few new words. I was able to slow the reading down a little, or repeat when needed. Would definitely recommend.

Great for beginners like me!

I really enjoyed this audiobook. While I only know bits and pieces of Italian, the way this book was set up made it feel like I was taking a class in foreign language all over again. The narrator at the start was helpful with the different suggestions for learning, and I liked the fact that this book divides each story up with its natural pacing and a slower one for beginners. Simply reading from a textbook in the past has done little to help me hear the language from a native speaker in casual conversation, because no one really speaks like that. Having the pdf supplied with this audiobook to follow along with is helpful for beginners that feel overwhelmed just hearing the stories, but it is also a good supplement for more advanced learners who might require a refresher to check their pronunciation, spelling, etc. The narrators in the book are clear in their pronunciation as they speak, which is great for beginners who have never taken a foreign language class before.

FUN WAY TO EDUCATE

Would you listen to Italian Short Stories for Beginners again? Why?

Yes! I have never came across a learning method as effective as this one. Usually learning a different language than your own language can be very difficult, time-consuming, and exhausting, which will usually cause some people to give up or not enjoy learning a different language as much. However, Jessica Muraca and Eddie Pez make learning Italian fun and easy for beginners. I could listen to Italian Short Stories for Beginners over and over again and not become bored with it.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes! This audiobook grasped all of my attention. When I had to take my daughter to her doctor's appointment for a checkup, I listened to it in the car on the way over and on the way back because I did NOT want to quit listening to it!

Ever since I was a little girl, I always had a fascination with Italy, their culture, and of course their food! I have ALWAYS wanted to learn their language but could never find a learning method to fit my liking. My husband and I are planning a trip to Venice, Italy next summer so I am so thankful to have come across this audiobook!

This audiobook is the best way for beginners to learn Italian because the narrators truly show you how to pronounce the words correctly and how they should flow in sentences. They also repeat the words to help you broaden your vocabulary.

Thank you so much for helping me chase my dreams by allowing me to learn Italian! This audiobook was like music to my ears.

What I like most about this Audiobook is that while I'm trying to learn and speak the Italian language, I am also being entertained by the stories and getting a deeper grasp of the culture of Italy. 

I definitely recommend this! If you are someone that wants to learn Italian but has a busy schedule, you can turn this audiobook on and listen to it while in the car, cooking, cleaning, or getting ready for bed at night. You can go on with your lifestyle while still listening to this and learning. This audiobook was just outstanding! I will be sharing this with all of my friends and family.

Fun way to immerse yourself into Italian language

This audiobook was super helpful in my learning of the Italian Language. Right from the beginning, Frederic (one of the narrators) gave excellent explanations and directions, making me feel comfortable in the listening process. The 10 short stories were engaging and easy to comprehend, even for a beginner like me. The narrators had excellent speed and tone in their voice. The PDF that comes with the audiobook was an added bonus! You can LOOK along while you LISTEN to the narrator. The PDF can also be used to read the stories to someone else, or act as narrator to improve your immersion. Also, this is so much more accurate of a way to learn the correct pronunciation of Italian words and how they are used. It was also very convenient and accessible to me at all times and all places.

Overall, this was an effective and enjoyable way for me to gain more depth in my Italian terminology and, at the same time, making me feel immersed in the Italian culture!

I  enjoy the e book. I love the stories and the person who read them  has a very relaxing voice. If you want to learn Italian,  this is the book for you

I found it very helpful tool to improve Italian

It has easily understandable instructions, recordings are good quality and narrators are speaking slowly and clearly. I have studied Italian in the past so it was a great reminder and a useful tool to improve as the stories are gradually getting complicated. Pdf file was really helpful as well. Reading what I was listening gave thorough knowledge.

Good Read

This book is wonderful for any degree of fluency in the Italian language. Both narrators spoke clearly and gave each story life.

Great intro for novices

I was gladly surprised, and ended up congratulating myself for how much I was able to understand. At the beginning it was a bit intimidating, and I almost gave up. But the more I kept listening, the more I realized that I actually knew and understood what they were saying. The stories are pretty interesting as well, and there is an English summary at the end of each, which helps to fill in any lingering gaps. This audio book is great for those who are learning the language but can't go to Italy and fully immerse themselves in it.
