Great for a beginner

I absolutely love the author and narrator (Mark Frobose) because he’s sharp and to that point with the language. I feel like he’s one of the best. Unfortunately this was a bit too redundant for me and I was hoping for something a bit more intensive (upper level) and new. Also, I’m not sure if there was a glitch with the recordings but the second half of the book is just a repetition of the first part. That was super annoying. I kept waiting for some golden nuggets of new conversational vocabulary. Lastly, as another reviewer mentioned, I’d rather learn more helpful phrases other than “non ho soldi,” or “ho bisogno di andare adesso.”

That said, I listened to the entire book and still appreciate and value the author. Additionally, I would highly recommend this book (and other books) written by Mark to an audience with more of a beginner level. I’ll always be a huge fan and certainly gleaned a few new things from this book, so while it wasn’t PERFECT, it was still worthwhile.

I’d be thrilled if the author came out with a more advanced audio book that might help more advanced learners by way of typical conversation pieces and responses, as well as some commonly used idiomatic expressions.

Good way to learn Italian

I’m of Italian descent and always wanted to learn Italian. I speak some Italian but wanted fluency and this course has me talking Italian with “Mia Nonna” molto bene. Best Italian program I’ve tried so far.

Terrible, waste of money, do not buy!

I’ve appreciated some of Mark Frobose’s other Italian books, but this one is a complete disappointment. It is a lazy cut-and-paste job, recycling content from his other courses and even repeating material within this course itself. There’s nothing new to learn here—it’s the same sentences repeated endlessly. Even his so-called ‘spontaneous’ remarks in English are repeated verbatim! This is not just repetitive and boring but insulting to the listener’s intelligence. I want my money/credit back.

Not for intermediate or advanced learners!!

If you want to learn to say “I need something now” save yourself the soldi!! “Ho bisogno di qualcosa adesso “ Done. This book is not for intermediate or advanced learners. I was so angry after the first hour and a half of the same thing! If you’re a beginner this could help you. But, this was falsely advertised.
