Publisher's summary

Sometimes it takes a scandal....

Abigail Weston has everything: beauty, wit, and one of the largest dowries in England. Her parents hope she'll wed an earl. Abigail hopes for a man who wants her desperately and passionately. But the money seems to blind every man she meets - except one.

Sebastian Vane has nothing. He came home from war with a shattered leg to find his father mad and his inheritance gone. He's not a fit suitor for anyone, let alone an heiress. But Abigail lights up his world like a comet, bright and beautiful and able to see him instead of his ruined reputation. And it might end happily ever after....

To reveal your heart's desire...

...Until Benedict Lennox begins courting Abigail. Ben is everything Sebastian isn't - wealthy, charming, heir to an earl. Sebastian won't give up the only girl he's ever loved without a fight, but Abigail must choose between the penniless gentleman who moves her heart, and the suitor who is everything her parents want.

Great story overall!

I love how once the 2 knew they loved each other they had ABSOLUTE, unwavering faith in each other...especially the sweet lady who was determined to prove the innocence of the gentleman she loved! I thoroughly enjoyed this book!

Eh

This story was just ok. Not real impressed. The heroine needed to grow a back bone like her sister. (Can’t wait to hear her story). The romance was Eh. Nothing great. Only one real scene of passion and even that was eh. The narrator was not very good. Several times I had to speed it up because she just drawled on and on. This story in my humble opinion was not worth the credit however I will continue to the next book because it’s all about Ben and Penelope.

Too long poorly narrated

The story line showed creativity and was well-developed. . . sorta. Unfortunately, the story began to ramble about mid-way,,,losing the theme. A good narrator would have/could have brought life to the story and to the characters so that listeners don't care about the length...or the rambling. This book was very poorly narrated. I don't recommend.
