Publisher's Summary

Whether you are trying to conceive naturally or through IVF, the quality of your eggs will have a powerful impact on how long it takes you to get pregnant and whether you face an increased risk of miscarriage. Poor egg quality is emerging as the single most important cause of age-related infertility, recurrent miscarriage, and failed IVF cycles. It is also a major contributor to infertility in PCOS.

Based on a comprehensive investigation of a vast array of scientific research, It Starts with the Egg reveals a groundbreaking new approach for improving egg quality and fertility. With a concrete strategy that includes minimizing exposure to toxins such as BPA and phthalates, choosing the right vitamins and supplements to safeguard developing eggs, and harnessing nutritional advice shown to boost IVF success rates, this book offers practical solutions that will help you get pregnant faster and deliver a healthy baby.

Horrible Narrator. Read the book instead!

What made the experience of listening to It Starts with the Egg the most enjoyable?

Definitely NOT the narrator! The author's helpful info made is bearable.

What was one of the most memorable moments of It Starts with the Egg?

Anne Flosnik's terrible voice. I first thought it was AI narrating, but when I found out it's an actual person, I couldn't believe they let her do this for a living!

Would you be willing to try another one of Anne Flosnik’s performances?

NEVER!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me cringe.

Any additional comments?

The chapters are not synced on the Audible app. After suffering for 7 hours, I am buying and reading the book.

The best book for infertility

This is the best book I’ve come across with the most scientifically based information as well as suggested “action plans”. It is sensitive yet to the point. It is an infertility focused book as opposed to others that claim to be but add a chapter on “choosing gender by position”. Would highly recommend It Starts with the Egg.

great book gives you good information to ask

struggling with infertility is no joke and I was recommended this book by a YouTuber that has also struggled with infertility and I feel like this book is going to give everybody that is struggling a good starting point to ask questions to your doctor and see what you can do to in the end result having a pregnancy and having a baby and making your family grow

Good Book~ Terrible Narration...

Buy the book. the Narrator does not pronounce the words correctly. Her V's are B's etc. so If you want to make any notes its really difficult and you have to search in Google which is a real headache. Whoever chose this lady to narrate must not have done their homework. It sounds like she speaks with an impediment, which is so irritating while listening to an audiobook...

Brilliant book, badly narrated!!!

The information in this book is absolutely brilliant and really helpful but it was so hard to listen to. I wish I had read more reviews before I bought it. I’m sorry that the publishing house and author chose this reader, they did themselves a huge disservice, as it would have been much better if read by a normal human voice!
I have now bought the hard copy so I can read it properly.

Mostly about IVF

As others have said, the narrator was pretty difficult to listen to. I pushed through and finished the book, but it was hard. In addition, most of the information seemed to be centered on IVF patients. If I find that I have infertility then I may need this info but for now we are trying to conceive naturally so most of this info wasn't applicable for me.

loved the info, hate the voice!

I loved all of the helpful information in this book but I wish I had just gotten the book. the person narrating this book is awful. it's like nails on a chalkboard. it's very robotic and you're not sure if it's a real person or AI. there's hardly any inflection in her voice. overall her voice made it hard to concentrate on the information she was giving.

Interesting book

Narrators voice a little irritating but overall a good informative book. Does scare you a bit with all the things you shouldn't expose yourself to. Should take it lightly and not get stressed by all the lifestyle changes suggested.

Useful

It is very informative for anyone struggling with fertility. Gives practical advice on steps you can take to try to improve egg and sperm health. Useful for Pcos and diminished egg reserve or older women TTC. Robotic narration a little irritating.

Worst narrator ever! Sample the book before buying. That voice does not get any better so make sure you know what you get yourself into.
