Publisher's summary

Sniper Hunter Powell thought he lost everything when he took the rap for a crime he didn't commit in order to save a friend. Now he's got a chance to redeem himself. There's only one catch: He has to leave the military, settle down on a Montana ranch - and marry a woman he's never met before. A woman so young and sheltered he can't believe she'll have any interest in a hardened warrior like him - even if her fierce independence, hot-tempered humor, and unexpected beauty has got him plenty interested in her.

Jo Reed watched two of her sisters marry the men her father sent to help them on the family ranch, so when Hunter arrives, she's ready for him. She doesn't want a husband; she wants a house of her own where she can call the shots - and if the Navy SEAL wants to stay, he'd better build it to her specifications. More to the point, he'd better stop kissing her.

Hunter knows he's not supposed to build Jo a house - he's supposed to marry her. But first he's got to earn her trust and stop treating her like a new recruit. The longer he's around the headstrong woman, the more he wants to be around her.

Despite her best intentions, Jo's falling for the Navy SEAL, but she's already been unlucky in love twice. Will the third time around be the charm? Or the last straw?

Contains mature themes.

One Sniper

The awesomeness continues! Love the way each of the sisters have added abilities that not only add to the story but also to the mystic of love!

Can't wait till the next one

Each of the these novels is unique and interesting. This one is about Joe, the youngest daughter. She is in touch with the animals. The common thread in this book is loyalty. The message is a bit on the nose, but the sweetness of the book makes up for Seaton bludgeoning the message. That's the only negative. Audible has put up book four. Say alert. I give it a thumbs up.

Another good addition to the Brides of Chance Creek series. It story stands on it's own but is enhanced when read in series order. I am noticing a pattern in the stories that if it keeps up could grow old quickly. It's like just waiting for the details of what you know will happen. I hope this changes in the next story but am not holding my breath.

That said. I enjoyed Jo's story. Her need for independence from her sister's and an acknowledgement of who she is inside. Hunter's a good match for her, he is facing some very difficult decisions and really needs someone who can believe in him. I think Jo will do that.

Romance and Tiny House.. What's Not To Like

Narrator is good, but I'm beginning to wonder if she can sound excited?

Jo's turn, and not a moment too soon. Her choices thus far have been murder (😁Read the first 2). Hunter is the man her father has sent for her. He's a navy Seal sniper, so he's been there, done that!! And wow, is he loyal!! She's younger but sharp. Their journey to get to know each other is exciting and Jo comes into her own as more than the little sister. 🤪 Yep, starting the next one now...wooo hoo!! Hello Babygirl, lol

Hunter and Jo

I listened to the Audiobook for this one. The narration was ok, but the story was interesting. I really enjoyed Hunter and Jo. There was a little action, not too much angst, and a few steamy scenes.

I thought Hunter was sweet. He tried to be in tune with what Jo wanted and needed. Even after she would get angry with him, he tried to step back and objectively look at what happened. Jo seemed to provide Hunter with that soft, safe place to land.

After Hunter was hit with a few truths he was unaware of about his mother, and after his friend made his revelation, he didn't react like I expected him to react. That was a pleasant surprise.

I hope as the books move forward, we will finally see the end of the Reed sisters problems.

I was able to listen to this via the Audible Romance subscription.

Do not, suppose to be manly books, narrated by women. Should be narrated by a male and a female.
