Return once more to a galaxy far, far away with this sublime retelling of George Lucas's epic Star Wars in the style of the immortal Bard of Avon. The saga of a wise (Jedi) knight and an evil (Sith) lord, of a beautiful princess held captive and a young hero coming of age, Star Wars abounds with all the valor and villainy of Shakespeare's greatest plays. 'Tis a tale told by fretful droids, full of faithful Wookiees and fearsome Stormtroopers, signifying...pretty much everything.

Natasha: I’m a girl who believes in science and facts. Not fate. Not destiny. Or dreams that will never come true. I’m definitely not the kind of girl who meets a cute boy on a crowded New York City street and falls in love with him. Not when my family is 12 hours away from being deported to Jamaica. Falling in love with him won’t be my story. Daniel: I’ve always been the good son, the good student, living up to my parents’ high expectations. Never the poet. Or the dreamer. But when I see her, I forget about all that.

This final play from the pen of Oscar Wilde is a stylish send-up of Victorian courtship and manners, complete with assumed names, mistaken lovers, and a lost handbag. Jack and Algernon are best friends, both wooing ladies who think their names are Ernest, "that name which inspires absolute confidence". Wilde's effervescent wit, scathing social satire, and high farce make this one of the most cherished plays in the English language.

This AudioMusical idea is well worth it.
Would you listen to Is Anyone All Right? again? Why?
Yes, and I actually have already gone back and listened to parts because I wanted to be able to SING ALONG! with the characters. Because the dialogue (the context of why they're singing) leading up the songs is right there to hear, I was able to play some of my favorite songs for friends... and my mother... and they understood what was happening without me explaining.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Maybe Pablo. He had so much energy.
Which scene was your favorite?
Oddly enough, Dirk and Antoinette's songs made me laugh-out-loud, they really tickled my fancy, but there were other more musical songs that I sang along with, too. Loved the roommate's song, too.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The fight scene was very good. And Antoinette's realizations.
Any additional comments?
The elbow cancer anxiety was funny, and I also loved the stats and facts. I feel like I LEARNED!

A romance with a twist of rhyme
Would you listen to Is Anyone All Right? again? Why?
I would listen to 'Is Anyone All Right' again just for the songs and the accents. Do you like Richard Rogers? Then you will like this. The songs stay with you after the credits.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Is Anyone All Right??
The 'Aha' moment when I began to wonder just who was falling for whom.
What does Michael Langsner bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Michael does a nice job making the story flow from song to dialog and back.
If you could take any character from Is Anyone All Right? out to dinner, who would it be and why?
I want to take Ben out to dinner and give him a good talking-to.
Any additional comments?
Mr. Snyder has perfectly captured the romantic feel of some of the classic musicals by combining lush, melodic arrangements with clever lyrics. The songs reveal some of the thoughts and feelings that nicely round out the characters and bring the story to life.

Best 'Drama Doodle' Ever Created.
Would you consider the audio edition of Is Anyone All Right? to be better than the print version?
Though the story is extremely well written, since it incorporates musical elements into the story line, one could not get the full effect from a print version. I was especially blown away by the performance of the narrator and vocal stylings of the vocalists.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I definitely identified with Ben's character. Brilliant, and a bit eccentric. Quick to cite endearing and admirable qualities in others, but not so much in himself. I enjoyed his hilarious bouts with hypochondria, and the witty banter shared between he and Pablo.
What about Michael Langsner’s performance did you like?
I am a fan of audio books, but I usually have to take them in small, digestible doses. This book, however, was like listening to an old friend in a quaint coffee shop. I finished the entire book in the course of one afternoon. Mr. Langsner has a natural ease and fluidity of speech. I felt very calm, comfortable and entertained by the narration.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
The bar you'll never want to leave.
Any additional comments?
I hope Tom Snyder continues this unique legacy of audio book/musical fusion writing. I am currently having a second listen to this book. I cannot emphasize how impressed I am with the innovative idea of introducing musical numbers into an audio book. It reminds me of the Old Time Radio dramas that I grew up with.

A light hearted romantic musical that sure to tickle your funny bone and put a smile on your face.
Funny, entertaining, endearing, and the perfect ending. A light hearted romance for, well, anyone.
The music was especially good. It gave the listener a nice little reprieve to just sit back, relax and and enjoy the song without concentrating on the storyline for fear of missing something important. The timing was perfect. I could see this or others by Thomas F. F. Snyder as a series or podcast.

Story
In "Center of the Universe", God struggles to balance the demands of his career with the needs of his long-term girlfriend. In "Magical Mr. Goat", a young girl's imaginary friend yearns to become more than friends. In "Unprotected", an unused prophylactic recalls his years spent trapped inside a teen boy's wallet. The stories in Simon Rich's new audiobook are bizarre, funny, and yet...relatable. Rich explores love's many complications--losing it, finding it, breaking it, and making it--and turns the ordinary into the absurd.

Story
Set in New England mainly and London partly, On Beauty concerns a pair of feuding families - the Belseys and the Kippses - and a clutch of doomed affairs. It puts low morals among high ideals and asks some searching questions about what life does to love. For the Belseys and the Kippses, the confusions - both personal and political - of our uncertain age are about to be brought close to home: right to the heart of family.

Everyone wants to escape their boring, stagnant lives full of inertia and regret. But so few people actually have the bravery to run - run away from everything and selflessly seek out personal fulfillment on the other side of the world where they don’t understand anything and won’t be expected to. The world is full of cowards. Tim Anderson was pushing 30 and working a string of dead-end jobs when he made the spontaneous decision to pack his bags and move to Japan.

He was tall, at least six feet, with dirty blond hair that hung over his eyes. His T-shirt read Nietzsche Is My Homeboy. So, that was Matt. Who Julie Seagles likes. A lot. But there is also Finn. Who she flat out loves. Complicated? Awkward? Completely. But really, how was this freshly-minted Boston transplant and newbie college freshman supposed to know that she would end up living with the family of an old friend of her mother’s? This was all supposed to be temporary.

Story
There is a great deal that goes into making a video blog. Lizzie Bennet should know, having become a YouTube sensation over the course of her year-long video diary project. The Lizzie Bennet Diaries chronicled Lizzie’s life as a twenty-four-year-old grad student, struggling under a mountain of student loans and living at home with her two sisters - beautiful Jane and reckless Lydia. What may have started as her grad student thesis grew into so much more, as the videos came to inform and reflect her life and that of her sisters.

My name is Calliope and "I bone for a living." Kidding. I am studying to be a paleontologist though. It's the only thing I've ever wanted to be, and I have finally landed the perfect museum internship to make all of my dino-loving dreams come true. Trouble is, everyone wants me to be a gentle, loving sort of creature, but I'm more of the T-Rex type by nature - the kind who is determined to stomp and tear her way through any obstacle in order to get what she wants.

White-hot, blinding, and dangerous. That's exactly what Volt is. He's electric. The first time I met him, my body reacted. It coiled, sizzled, and sparked. I knew I wanted him because he was the first man to make me feel dead and alive at the exact same time.
