Spoiler!!!
So I am someone who always check movies with dogs for ‘does the dog die’ and I won’t watch if they do so this otherwise sweet and enjoyable story took me by surprise when the dog is poisoned and die. Can’t continue :( note to author: please do not kill the dog. Good book and I enjoyed it up to that point.

Red Flag! Red Flag!
Couldn’t get beyond chapter 10. I like the romance genre, but I have issues lately. Are all women main characters naive and dumb?
This character allowed a stranger to enter her home on their first date. That’s unbelievable! Also, why are the men soooo smart, but this veterinarian is gullible and borderline stupid. The men in these books feel like predators! She ends up having a sex with him and he’s a creeper! And her job is supposed to be trivial and not important because he says do! Sure! I want to puke! I think I’m done with romance- it’s very degrading to women. Ugh!

A Bit Blah for me
It had a few good moments but it didn’t really engage me at all. It took a good third of it to get even remotely interesting. I finished mostly out of curiosity because I felt invested. The narrator was the best part of the book. It had potential but just didn’t do it for me. I’m giving three stars overall because ratings are so subjective. I may not have liked it but it doesn’t mean someone else won’t have a different take on it.
