Story
In the not-too-distant future, the United States loses its status as a world Superpower. With the military cut to a barebones level and American leaders focused solely on the nation's internal struggles, the door will open for new powers to emerge on the world stage. In the wake of this power vacuum, China and Russia begin to flex their military muscles and expand their dominance in the world. They have the most up-to-date technological innovations ready for battle: railguns, unmanned drone tank vehicles, exoskeleton suits, and cyber warfare.

Story
In an engagement that many had said was inevitable, the United States and China had exchanged opening shots. While conducting a Freedom of Operations mission, a US destroyer had been sunk by Chinese forces placed on a disputed man-made island. Twelve American sailors rescued from the waters were held captive by China, claiming them to be prisoners of war. In response, the United States mounted a rescue effort while also striking at the Chinese military installation. Fearing retaliation and to be in a position of strength, both countries sortied their fast-attack submarine fleets.

Scientists promised a beautiful aurora providing the city that never sleeps with magnificent hues of blue and green. For three days, New Yorkers took to the streets, parks, and rooftops to enjoy the awe-inspiring spectacle. As the power grid failed, the city of New York collapsed with remarkable speed. The thin veneer of civilization was laid bare as man fought one another for survival.

Story
In April 1945, the Allies are charging toward Berlin from the west, the Russians from the east. For Hitler, the situation is hopeless. But at this turning point in history, another war is about to explode. To win World War II, the Allies dealt with the devil. Joseph Stalin helped FDR, Churchill, and Truman crush Hitler. But what if "Uncle Joe" had given in to his desire to possess Germany and all of Europe? In this stunning novel, Robert Conroy picks up the history of the war just as American troops cross the Elbe into Germany. Then Stalin slams them with the brute force of his enormous Soviet army.

To say entertaining is an understatement.
Rosone and Watson are on their way to being recognized with the likes of Tom Clancy, and other writers in this genera. To me, this whole series paints a potentially scary future if the events in the previous two books comes to pass. Overall, it's an excellent story and the characters are truly awesome. You wanna root for the heros and see the antagonists fall. Be warned though, some of the events later on in the book will make your blood boil.

just keep driving...
I spend a lot of time on the road and audible makes those drives go by much faster. I have found that this series makes the drives go by too fast! I find myself wanting to keep driving so I can keep listening. The narrator is one of the best I have listened to on audible. Unfortunately, this is a book that you really have to read/listen to in order. the story itself is very plausible and it frightens me to think "what if?" I do think the author overplayed the phrase "stay frosty"! c'mon, enough already.

horrible. dont waste your time.
i persisted with this series for as long as i could, but this is it, i cant subject myself to anymore. terribly written, badly performed, and no structure what so ever.
the author claims to be a veteran himself but seems completely ignorant of all things military. the dialog is terrible, just people talking AT each other explaining every single thing they say or do as if theyre all robots. there is zero character development, and all of the characters are exactly the same. none of them has a single defining attribute that sets them apart from any of the other mindless cutouts of supposed humanity in this absolutely terrible piece of writing.
the story isnt going anywhere, and it has no structure. it ends seemingly out of nowhere, having done nothing to further the plot at all. clearly a cash grab for the next books in the series.
i actually stopped listening to this and went and listened to other audio books in similar genres, then came back, and was astounded by how utterly atrocious it is by comparison.
to prospective readers: dont waste your time or money on this utter garbage.
to the author: find another job, you're not good at this.
