Very interesting story of one of the most prolific inventors of modern espionage. Vast lessons to be gleaned from understanding the nature of secrecy, surveillance, and the constant conflict such indispensible intelligence work causes in its effort to protect our democratic ideals from autocratic evil while inherently confounding democracy's fundamental covenants.

This needed an editor

The subject matter is interesting, but it's presented in a jumbled manner. And a book written by William Stevenson about someone named William Stephenson really needs a note from the publisher at the start of the audiobook to indicate the difference.
