Publisher's summary

The Marines aboard the IMC Comanche embark on a journey that will test their courage and strength like never before. Little do they know that their first contact with an escape pod would unleash a horror beyond their wildest nightmares.

As the Marines fight for their lives, they realize that they were not alone. The IMS Pandora, a ship that had been lost for years, had somehow merged with the Comanche, creating a twisted, labyrinthine hulk that seemed to have a life of its own.

The Marines know that they had to find a way to escape, but the Pandora-Comanche hybrid was a maze of corridors and rooms, each one more dangerous than the last. They are running out of time, and the Lurkers are closing in.

Into The Abyss is a reminder of the darkness that lurks in the depths of space.

The virtual voice

This is now the second book I’ve tried to listen to I can’t get into it with the virtual voice. The voice is pleasant. But it lacks that thing that brings it to life from a skilled narrator reading it. This would be fantastic for informational books because he’s not truly monotone so you’re not going to fall asleep, but it doesn’t bring it to life either ,makes it extremely hard to become emotionally invested in the book.
