Informative Book .

I love intermittent fasting and have had mild success with it from time to time. Personally I found this book to have a lot of great information for a beginner who is interested in learning more about what intermittent fasting is and how to begin. It also includes some good exercise and meal suggestions as well for getting started. My only complaint is that there are some health claims made (regarding things like PCOS) that data/studies/citations aren't provided for. As someone with PCOS I personally don't feel that intermittent fasting did anything for my symptoms or cysts, but if the statistical data is there to make the claim that it helps then it should be included in the book.

Appreciated This Audio Book.

As someone practicing intermittent fasting for a few years, I've been looking for a book that could serve as a good, easy introduction to this style of nutrition, to share with curious friends. Silvia Pala's book is perfect for just that. It is clearly written, concise, explains procedures and benefits without any hype and, most helpfully, comes with a bunch of really good easy recipes to cook at home. I am definitely recommending this book to the few of my friends who have been wondering how do I practice my self-care in our stressful times.

Everyone Needs to Listening Amazing Book.

I found this book interesting and very helpful. It was helpful to learn that it's important to learn how to eat rather than what you eat. It's a good guide for beginners. It was thoroughly reseasrched and offers good information how fasting affects your body and the changes your body will go through. I recommend this book for those that want an option to lose weight rather than dieting. It's also a good reference book to understand how fasting affects your entire body.

Appreciated This Audio Book.

After starting both Keto and intermittent fasting recently, I was thrilled to understand what the fasting actually accomplishes and what it does for your body. Dieting can be picked up and dropped at any point, but understanding why these things help to keep us nutritious, that’s the important takeaway.

Highly Recommended Awesome Book.

I hope to be active and fit as I age. And, like many others, look for help in achieving this with good nutrition habits. This book offers one strategy to supplement your routine. I would hope anyone interested in a diet that requires fasting, like this one, would check with a physician first, and know that it isn't a cure-all. So, as in any diet, be wary of blanket statements about wellness. However, this book is a good start to learning about this kind of diet/nutrition program.

I enjoy the way the author presented the information. Intermittent Fasting is a hot topic right now and it's valuable to explore the vast opinions. I don't like the way that some of the opinions stated within the book are presented as facts. That could prove to be detrimental to anyone who wants to attempting fasting on their own. I think it should be better clarified that the information is opinion and not scientific fact. Still a decent read full of information. It just needs to be taken with a healthy grain of salt.

Highly Recommend .

I've been looking for a good read for my mom, who recently inquired about intermittent fasting. I was able to give her some recommendations off the top of my head, but none specifically for women over 50, which led me here. This book is exactly as described, and even better. It covers everything you would be looking for: scientific background, how to start, foods to avoid, benefits, drawbacks, etc. One of the things that stood out to me most are the strength exercises. Most books on intermittent fasting do not cover exercise at all, which is particularly important for this population. You can tell the author is a nutrition professional with vast experience. I have already recommended this to my mom and her friends!

Valuable Book.

The science and art of intermittent fasting has been clearly well-defined and explained in the book, including the benefits of doing so, primarily for reducing stress, weight-loss, a healthy heart and brain, and improved immunity. The benefit of developing a pattern of eating healthy demonstrated through a clear understanding of the difference between fasting hours and eating hours is the cornerstone of the book. What to eat and what to avoid, when to eat and when to give our stomach a rest is well articulated.

Excellent Listen.

This is a very interesting and informative book that is easy to listen and understand. I would like to try intermittent fasting myself, although being diabetic, I don't know if that would be advisable for me or not. Some of the recipes look wonderful, however. I heartily recommend this book.

Informative Book .

So, first off I'm not a bad son. She wanted this book! So I got it for her as a gift. She told me that its helped her body lose a lot of weight and not only that she feels that her mind is healthier. I can't really tell the difference but she feels and sees the difference and for that, I feel that I had to leave a review. :)

The Best in Their Collection.

I have tried intermittent fasting before and appreciated the overview, options, benefits and recipes that this book offers. The options were key to me, as there can be many ways to fast and she outlines a variety. The author wants you to start slow and find the best method for you! Everyone Needs to Listening Amazing Book.

I have been doing intermittent fasting.... intermittently. it seemed to work for years, but then, after I turned 50 - it was not effective anymore. This book really helped me understand how the process changes after 50. I am implementing the process. It's only been a few days, but I will keep following the guidelines of the book. Well Said.

This book explains why resting the body from eating and digesting food on a regular basis is an ideal way to lose weight and improve long term health. I found the discussion of autophagy philosophically sound but would have liked more science included to back it up. Overall, a valuable listen.

Highly Recommend .

This book will make simple the complexities of fasting. It breaks down the pros and cons, the different types of fasting (16:8 seems to be the most practical), and how one's body will respond. The only thing I don't understand is why the target is women over 50. The info here is pertinent to anyone looking to fast.

Lovely Audio Book.

Neither my wife or I are quite the target demographic that the cover suggests this book is for, but were creeping closer, in any case I wanted to check this out as a primer and it does not disappoint. Full of helpful suggestions for all body types and healthy lifestyles this does a wonderful job of giving suggestions and encouragement.

Excellent Listen.

I've always been curious about intermittent fasting and so glad I chose this book to learn more. The information provided is frank without any fluff or sales pitch. I now know that Intermittent fasting is not starvation but controlled eating. It's not a pass to eat recklessly during "on" hours. Rather, it's a technique to maximize health alongside healthy eating. I look forward to implementing what I've learned into a healthier lifestyle.

Very Interesting Book .

This book is a good place to start for women over 50 who are thinking about trying IF for the first time. I appreciated the fact that the author provides the potential downfalls to this method as well as the advantages. I am also glad that she emphasized the need for a nutritious diet when you are practicing IF. This eating lifestyle can be healthy if the what and when are combined to ensure you get adequate nutrition PLUS the break from eating.
