An worth purchase!!

Intermittent fasting has helped me in several ways and I highly enjoy the lifestyle changes I have seen in my body and mind. It's easy to continue to do once you start and is a wonderfully healthy weight loss plan. I really Enjoyed reading this book and learned a lot. It's worth reading for anyone who is interested in learning or starting this diet/program.

Amazing !!

This book was easy to read and simplified a fasting lifestyle. I found it easy to adapt my eating schedule to the recommended 14 hour fast. Within 2 weeks my clothes fit much better and my digestion is better also. Highly recommend!

A very informative book!!

This book actually got me excited to not eat. That alone is a miracle. I have become such an emotional eater that it has become hard for me to decipher when I'm actually hungry, not stressed, bored, tired, or upset. Most of my life I've been a snacker; grazing all day and night on chips, popcorn and other tasty treats. This is the exact opposite of what I should be doing. I liked that this book gives you so many variations in ways to fast. It makes it so easy to incorporate it into your lifestyle. I tried my first fast a few days ago. I did the 24 hour (dinner to dinner) fast. It was not as difficult as I thought it would be. It really forced me to listen to my body when my mind was telling me to eat. Today I'm on my second day of a three day fast. So far so good. I'm following the advice given in the book; staying busy and staying hydrated. This book goes into great detail as to why this way of eating is truly healthy for most people, and why calories in calories out is simply not the way to loose weight. You will learn how much our hormones truly affect our ability to lose weight. It was eye opening. I plan to incorporate fasting into my life indefinitely. And another plus, the time and money you'll save not buying food is awesome.

To burn some fats!

This is a very effective way to burn fat while being healthy. Intermittent fasting is a way of clean eating while being healthy. I am recommending this to all my friends.

wow!! An awesome book with amazing narration!!

Definitely the best and only diet for me. This is the only diet that I can truly lose weight quickly without being miserable. I lose 2-3 pounds a week doing this.

As a retired physician, I'd like to congratulate the authors on doing an excellent job creating what will almost certainly become a nutritional classic for beautifully demystifying the concept of fasting for health. Well written!

I have heard about fasting for years but it sounded like torture. But Dr. Fung and Jimmy Moore are both exceptional in their explanations of why it works and how to start, and what to eat. They answer all your questions and concerns with answers backed by research. I have been doing intermittent fasting for 3 months and it has been no problem and it has helped with weight loss and losing inches!

Excellent book on fasting!

Very straightforward and helpful. Christine won't steer you wrong. Includes precautions to keep you safe, and a list of people/conditions that should not do fasting. I like how Christine isn't trying to be a guru. He's a medical doctor and he's treated a lot of patients and seen a lot of good outcomes. He is focused on the health of his patients, not on his own ego and on having everyone jump on his bandwagon. He also doesn't care if people are pure and doing everything exactly right. She wants you to succeed, so there is a lot of flexibility built in. The best plan is one that you will actually do.

A New Way Of Living

I have been on the "Fast Diet" for about 5 weeks. I have lost 16 lbs without a lot of effort. I feel like I can keep this up to lose weight and reach my goal. One thing is the testimonials in the book almost all say after a few weeks on the diet the fast days are easier to do. I still have a hard time with those days and feel hungry, however, I can stick it out, knowing the next day I can eat what I want. I do find that I don't overeat on the non fast days and sometimes eat less than usual. I am also exercising 3 days a week at Curves, so that helps. My fast days are Mondays and Thursdays, however, if I know I am going to dinner or if there is a special occasion on one of those days, I just switch the "fasting" to another day. It works for me! I did ask my doctor about this diet and she is all for it. She was very happy I had lost weight and sees no reason I can't continue. I tell a lot of people about it, but mostly they say they could never do the fasting(500 calories) for even 1 day. If you don't have any medical problems such as diabetes, it should be safe. If you are worried ask your doctor.

You need to read this if you can't lose weight

Well written, logical, science-based book on fasting combined with Keto diet. Beautifully lays out the health benefits of fasting and supports conclusions with clinical evidence. This set me free from the shame I had about food and helped me establish a healthy approach.

This book is a Gem!!!

This book is a Gem! My father informed me to purchase after he began a prolonged fast and healed his body of type 2 diabetes. I started intermittent fasting and chronic back and shoulder pain is gone. I also dropped 14 lbs in 12 days
