Publisher's Summary

Arren Blaine is a cop, he doesn't believe in the paranormal. He knows there is no such things as werewolves or shifters, until....

"Find me..." The words uttered by the mysterious woman he'd swerved off the road to miss, echo continually in Dallas policeman Arren Blaine's head as he fights to get back into the world of the living, after the almost fatal car crash.

"Find me..." So begins an odyssey of discovery that takes him far from the Dallas PD forensic labs and into the frightening world of the supernatural in his search for the woman who had saved his life. A woman he is destined to share eternity with, if he can find her. If he can save her...if she is even human.

So-so over all

I was totally engaged with this book until somewhere around the middle. Then the plot became predictable and dialogue seemed unnatural. I also just wasn't feeling the love between hero and heroine. I'm not an author myself, so I can't put my finger on what it was that bothered me, but it all just went flat for me toward the end.

I will say that I liked the conclusion. Bad guys are suitably punished; hero gets the girl -- all due to... No, I won't ruin it for you.

I received a free copy of this audiobook from the publisher, author or narrator, and voluntarily provided this honest opinion.

I got this book via audiobook boom. I was prepared to slog through another science fiction paranormal book when this book grabbed me and kep me entertained until the end. Somewhere in the middle it bogged down but it picked back up and moved right along. Well worth the listen.

Excellent Paranormal Thriller!! Loved It!

Infinity's Doorway is an excellent audiobook from David Wind. The main character is Arren Blaine a cop from Dallas who while traveling back east goes off road to avoid hitting a mysterious woman in the middle of the road and almost dies. While being operated on after the accident he does die and her voice brings him back from the light begging of him to Find her. With the help of his former Navajo College roommate Arren learns all about the world of the supernatural in his quest to find his one true love. No matter the cost.

This is the first time I have heard the vocal performance of Mr Freeman. He does an excellent job and I would gladly listen to any of his work again. He provides a rich range for all characters and gives life of all of them.

It's a thrill a minute

The story started fast (at 90 mph) and kept going fast. I had to force myself to pause the narration when work intruded.

Interesting premise

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.
This was an interesting story . . . sci-fi, drama, romance, action, danger, it was all there. Characters were well written and believable, the plot was detailed and fast paced, the narration was outstanding in places, but a little lacking in others, almost like 2 different people were narrating. There were a couple of grammatical mishaps that were distracting to me, but might not be to others. This didn't happen often enough to ruin anything, though. It was a very enjoyable book! Recommended for sci-fi fans. Oh, and the ending was very satisfying!

Doorway to a good book

This is the first book by this author and narrator that I have listened to and I didn't really know what to expect but the plot sounded intriguing so I gave it a go. I am glad I did, it is certainly different to what I normally listen to but I enjoyed it. A lot happened to keep you hooked until the end love, death, power hungry bad guys. Worth a listen.
Arren after suffering a near death car crash goes mad well that is what his doctors believe but Arren and his Navajo college roommate know better. The girl he nearly hit on the road is real and she needs there help. Oh and she is a shape shifter, with big problems the main one trying to get back to her world before she goes insane and starts killing everyone. It's a race against time as the bad guys don't want to let her go.
I liked the narrator and think he does an excellent job with all the voices.

Infinity's Doorway

Any additional comments?

I received this audiobook for free in exchange for an honest review.

This book has such an interesting premise and it really delivers. A deeply logical man, Aaren is involved in a car accident, certain that the woman he swerved to miss was there, despite all evidence telling him that she wasn't. Along with his best friend, Michael, he is plunged into the words of shifters and the paranormal as he tries to find and save the mysterious woman.
It took a little while to get into the plot, with the customary shrink telling him that he wants to help and the family member that doesn't support him, but once Arren and Michael are together, it is fast paced and intense until the end.
The narrator, however, was somewhat of a letdown. Normally they have different nuances for each character, but it was quite difficult to understand which character was talking.

The story was great. The narrator brought it alive. I can't say more without spoiling it and I hate spoilers.
