Publisher's Summary

Roak has a plan.

It is not a good plan. It is not an easy plan. But it is a plan.

And with a crew he doesn't want, a nemesis who is always one step ahead, and the power of the Galactic Fleet about to come down on him with all its might, Roak is going to need every ounce of his experience and skill as the galaxy's greatest and deadliest bounty hunter to execute the plan.

If his infinite enemies don't execute him first!

Can't get Enough

My name is Cindy, I'm a Roak Junkie.
Yes, I admit it, and no I don't want you to 12 step me. I want more Roak.

Jake Bible and Andrew Wehrlen have created a series beyond awesome. Jake for his "out of this world" creative writings and Andrew for his. "always a winner" performance.

Roak is a character that stays with you and you want to either be him or on his crew. His adventures are non stop and hilarious. But, I'm seriously considering taking Yellow Eyes as husband No. 5. Good Lord, with all that speed and all those arms, he could take out the trash, clean house, do laundry, fix dinner, cut grass and you'd never know he moved. Not to mention romance and all them arms...ok, I won't go there.
You'll not ever go wrong listening to anything Mr. Bible or Mr. Wehrlen releases.

Great romp, but I'm ready for the ending now!

This is another tremendous Jake Bible romp. I love the characters, settings and the way these Roak stories roll along. There is plenty of fun dialogue, character conflict and action. I especially like Yellow Eyes and his unnervingly cool demeanor.

As always the book is superbly narrated by Andrew B Wehrlen.

Whilst I am looking for a conclusion to Roak's current financial woes, I love the way Jake Bible continues to tease us and seamlessly draws in characters from his other novels. Looking forward to see how Denman Sno and the hunt for Pol Hammon adds to the storyline.

Scifi

I liked the story and even the characters. It was fast paced and there was plenty of suspence. What I did not like was the amount of profanity. I have read a book that had more profanity then this story however, I felt it suited the character so it did not put me off and I felt the author did it in such away that it did not put you off. However, in this case I felt at time it was forced and it made me cringe. Other then this it is a really good book.
I gave the plot and characters four stars but with the profanity it's a three for me. Others might not care as much as I did and love it.

Mayhem Achieved

I fell in love with this story faster than Yellow Eyes can fetch knives and I wish I had listened to the other Roak books first.

The dialog is snappy, the characters are sarcastic, and poor Roak can't catch a break.

In this installment of Roak's story, we find the eponymous bounty hunter searching for an old friend so he can finally equip his ship and settle things with Father. Along for the ride is his sister Reck (sp?), Bishop and Yellow Eyes. And despite being the most feared bounty hunter in the galaxy, Roak's fortunes seem to go from the frying pan into the fire on a regular basis.

I am going to have to go back and listen to the other books in this series now, I liked it that much.

As far as the narrator, I've listed to several titles voiced by Wehrlen and I've enjoyed each one. He has a great sarcastic delivery that lends itself well to Bible's characters.

My only complaint is that Bible really loves to leave his characters in precarious situations at the end of his books like he's writing a TV serial and it's the end of the season. And this is no exception.

So, if you like non-stop action, witty dialog and infinite amounts of sarcasm, give this book a try. Oh, and have I mentioned that Yellow Eyes is the best character ever? No really, I love the clueless, gangly yellow dude.

Quite the team

This is the second book I’ve read/listened to by this author, but the first of this series and I can’t wait to listen to more.
Despite this being (I think) the fifth book in the series, I was able to understand what was going on. I was not left with the feeling I was lost or missing information, yet I am very keen to listen to all previous books.

Roak and his “sister” (along with several colourful companions) attempt to track down “father”- the man who raised them to be the bounty hunter/assassins that they are. Problem is, the Galactic Fleet is after them. Together they make quite the team, despite Roak won’t admit it. The banter between them is entertaining.

This is the fifth book I’ve listened to by this narrator ( Andrew B Wehrlen) and I have enjoyed every one. He is very good at turning a book narration into an all encompassing, listening experience.

There are no explicit sex scenes. There is violence and swearing, but not overly excessive.

Roak is back, looking for payback!!

Another good book in the Roak series, read well by Andrew. Roak and Hassa are joined by a new team, the interaction between them is fast and witty and Andrew does a good job bringing it all to life.

Great Sci-Fi action!!!

This has turned into one of my favourite Sci-Fi series, it has fast paced action and witty banter all set in a seedy future in a universe shared by multiple species. As ever the narration is spot on and the interaction between the crew/team had me smiling like an idiot (Luckily I listen in the car mostly so nobody could see).

Overall this is another hit for me and I am eagerly looking forward to the next installment.

Another great Roak book

If you liked the other books in this serries you will like this one. If you have not listened to the others I would highly recommend starting with the Frist book in this serries. If you like an action packed Sci-fi adventure with plot twists, bounty hunters, alliens and other crazy stuff. Then this is the serries you want to listen to.

An interesting story with a great caste of characters. The plot is gripping and well paced, the world has depth to it. Lots of action in a Sci-fi setting with a favourite bounty hunter Roak can't go wrong with that and now with his team there to bounce off it just get better.

The narration is soild, clear and easy to listen too. Each character especially Roak is very well voiced and brought to life through the narration.

This is another great book in this series and I can highly recommend it.

But me and you die right now.

They thought they had killed Father. They hadn't. Now Roak and his murderous 'sister' need to finish what they had started and she, together with the duplicitous Bishop, and Nim and the multi tentacled Yellow Eyes are traveling as his crew, team, whatever, and hurtling like billiard balls around the galaxy in execution of Roak 's plans, at the same time as they are pursued by the Galactic Fleet. Constantly battling, and planning, and escaping from one bizarre situation after another through the brilliant flying of Hette the ship's sentient A.I., , Roak's crew, team, whatever, squabble and generally annoy Roak's patience, with Rec, his 'sister' even meddling with Hette - and it's never a good idea to upset the A.I.

This faster than fast action book in the Roak series is even better than the earlier ones, packed with traps, colourful alien types, suspicions and plans, significant body counts and gloriously enjoyable in house (ship?) conversations and arguements, enough to drive Roak to distraction, so much so that he even seems to be the quiet, reasonable one at times. Gloriously funny as well as exciting. And the narration matches the text, with a super fast paced reading from the exceptional Andrew Wehrlein, who voices the rich cast of characters individually whilst still keeping the action stunningly vibrant, heart stoppingly exciting and full of humour and angst. A simply superb performance.

I love this series. My thanks to the rights holder who, at my request, freely gifted me a complimentary copy of Infinite Mayhem, via Audiobook Boom. Although the book is a completed episode in Roak's adventurous life, it does end with a cliff hanger - and I await the next book with great anticipation. Great book, great narration, great series, great immagination, great fun - just great

Wow this is the best ROAK yet

Despite a bit of a slow start this is a ROAK through and through as so many twists and the ending now has me on my toes waiting for the next in the series.
Despite being a lone wolf, the addition of a crew works well for this and I liked the interplay between the new members and the story has turned into an on going saga as ROAK attempts to get his chits and payback whilst doing his usual stony manner to a T.
Narration by ABW is excellent and this is probably my favourite of his work to date.
5stars all round and well deserved

Roak nothing but action and mayhem

Jake Bible once again knocks it out of the park with this latest book in the Roak series. More action and mayhem than you can take in one sitting but this it seems Is the life for Roak and his crew. As in the previous books Action and mayhem are there with them everywhere, as does the humour, another great time in the disaray that is Roak's life. It’s just as full of action and mayhem with Roak Running towards his ultimate goal dragging his hapless team along with him.
