Publisher's Summary

From this day forward you are one of us. One of the Infernal Blade.

When Mara hits her limit, her foster father meets her blade, and so starts her induction into a life of death and darkness. The initiation into the Infernal Blade is filled with pain and fear, but what comes out on the other side is one of the most powerful creatures to walk the Earth.

Years before meeting her men, Mara, living as a homeless teen, meets the Elders just as her life is thrown into upheaval. With her best friend Rora by her side, Mara tries to work out what her life has become and works to come to grips with the fact that nothing will ever be the same.

Infernally Marked, previously part of the Assassin Society Anthology, is the prequel to Infernally Mine, a medium burn #whychoose book that sets the stage for this epic series of death, loyalty, and love. This prequel is from Mara's point of view as a teen, so there are no explicit scenes, but there is foul language. Intended for mature audiences only.

Prequel Definitely Whets Your Appetite For The Rest Of The Series.

Jewels did a great job with this prequel. It definitely whets your appetite for the rest of the series. It is short and not so sweet LOL. At just under an hour in length it is an easy listen. The narrator did a good job, her voice fit Mara, I had no problem picturing her as a young woman. I listened to this audiobook after having read the entire series. It was not my first exposure to the series but I still enjoyed the listen and I would imagine that if it were my first I would be anxious to continue.

Phenomenal!!

“This was a super short but fascinating prequel to an amazing series. We got to see Mara before the series and it was fantastic this new side of her. A huge shoutout to Marissa for her narration. The way she portrayed Mara’s emotions was fantastic!”

loved listening to the story while doing dinner!

Jewels Arthur is a very talented writer. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book. Even though it was shorter than I am used to, it didn't feel like it was missing anything. It ended on a small cliffhanger..but it was ment to. I can't wait to get into Infernally mine and see how Mera and her mysterious stranger in the void and the Elders continue their stories. Also get to know the guys that came into the void with her. I recommend this book to all those who are going to read Infernally mine. it is a nice quick listen.😊💜

Great story

A great story taking you back to a time before the infernal blade and how Mara struggle before everything and becomes an assassin. I think Marissa morreale did an amazing job bringing everyone to life with Mara and her men and even to the end when we meet Dorian with his sexy British voice getting us set up for the next installment to the story and I can't wait for more.
