Publisher's summary

2566 AD. Unlike the other Marines on board the troop ship Beowulf, when 18-year-old Arun McEwan is woken from cryo to board an enemy ship, he already knows that he will survive: his destiny to lead the Human Legion has been foretold. But there are other factions who will stop at nothing to bring about their rival dreams for humanity's future. Isolated on a ship rocked by mutiny, betrayal, and murder, Arun must find new allies amongst the most detested of the Navy crew: the freaks.

OoooRaahhhh, Space Marines a go go.

A fantastic mix of Marine space doctrine and political suicide with a twist of the force.

Why do the MCs have to always lose but..

I am unsure why the author constantly has the MCs constantly lose in head to head battles but find a way to squeak out. How are we readers and the other subjugated characters supposed to root for the underdog when they defeated in a matter of seconds?

Series is One of my favorite

I read this series a few years ago and loved it. Now it's come to life with this awesome narration and is like experiencing it for the first time.
