Waste of time

Would you try another book from Stephen King and Joe Hill and/or Stephen Lang?

I've read almost all of Stephen Kings books and although I thoroughly enjoyed his earlier works, I haven't been pleased with them in the last few years.

What could Stephen King and Joe Hill have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Storyline was too weak. The areas that should have connected didn't do so later. I was surprised when the end of the book came because I expected more.

Would you be willing to try another one of Stephen Lang’s performances?

This was terrible

I usually like Stephen King, but this short story was absolutely awful! It’s too short to really feel anything for the characters, there is no real story, and it doesn’t go anywhere. All of the charm of Stephen King’s stories is nowhere to be found here.

It isn’t worth the money. Don’t bother.

Gross.

I did not like this book. If you want something that will haunt you because it's gross, then read it.

What a disappointment. Pointless. I was irritated the entire time I was listening...I kept waiting for something to happen, for something to matter. I love Stephen King, but this was awful.

The story has a great concept made overly graphic.

A lot can be said for the story but the graphic details were painful at times. I love horror but this seemed to have more of a slasher-gore feel then a uneasy building up of haunt or supernatural.

Waste of Money

I usually like to buy the audio to accompany my Kindle book. This one was not worth the money. It's a horrible book Disgusting. No real point to it.

Yuck

The story could have been so good, and started out so well. And then it falls apart completely. Some of it makes no sense whatsoever. And the gross part people are referring to, yes, it is that disgusting. If you are really bored, give it a listen. Just set the bar low.

I understand it's a short story but I felt the ending was just unsatisfying. It felt rushed and incomplete.

What do you think your next listen will be?

I might check out S.K.'s other short story ... "A Face In the Crowd."

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

He was ok. I had no problem with his performance.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Primarily disappointment, some disgust at the vulgarity. I felt it did not enhance the story or even help the reader experience the horror of the character's circumstances.

Save you credit/money. This was not worth the $4+ I paid.

Giant Thumbs Down

What a dumb story. I am really disappointed. I expected better with Stephen King and his son Joe. Thumbs Down. Don't even bother

Boring

A lot of other reviewers were shocked by the twist. It's not shocking. It's a parody of itself. Overall it had no value as entertainment, but if your vehicle is loud this makes good white noise.
