I'm the author and narrator of 'In The Moonlight' and I thought I'd share a few things about the book which you wouldn't get from the description or sample.

‘In The Moonlight’ will give you the full range of emotions. For the most part it’s a fun, funny, light-hearted story. But, as an author, I love including twists and turns. So, don’t be surprised if you shed a tear or two. A lot of things happen in this story and I can’t talk about any of it without ruining it for you (these are characters with secrets). So, all I will say is that these characters are willing to fight for what they want, including their love for each other.

Is the character Wynn Wyatt based on a certain real life billionaire? Considering all of the steamy, detailed sex scenes, I’m not sure I can legally say. Haha! But I really enjoyed indulging in the billionaire boss trope with this story. What if you read fan fiction, started working for the real life person from your fan fiction, and then got the chance to turn your favorite fan fiction stories into reality? It was fun to explore.

I hope that gives you some insight into this very fun, very sexy story where the curvy girl gets her two guys.

could not finish

I try hard not to be negative but this was bad. The voices I agree are very cringy how can a very handsome man sound like he's 80 years old and the girls sounded more nagging and all breathless all the time. come on. she sounded inept at best. seriously couldn't get through a couple chapters and I tried.

Won’t be listening to this author again

I have to start with the performance. The voices for all of the parts were cringe worthy. The women sounded like they were on helium and the men sounded like women pretending to be little old men. The story was severely underdeveloped and the relationships gave me the creeps. I will not be listening to this author again.

Don't bother with this book. Most writers make terrible readers. This book was exceptionally bad.

Enjoyed it - but just not quite 4 stars for me ...

Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Was I invested in the characters: for the most part, yes

I've been listening to Alex Anders audio's since 2012 and this is the first (what i'd call) "full length" title i've had the opportunity to listen to. It was nice to have some story and not just short erotica, "In the Moonlight" is a good length and I enjoyed having a chance to get to know Lisa, Drew and Wynn. The story is pure entertainment and I enjoyed it, there was just "something" missing to make it a four star story for me - I didn't quite connect with the characters as much as I would have like to give it a solid four star rating - and having lived through the aids crisis in the late 80's early 90's i'm not a fan of unprotected sex with strangers ... but i get this is part of the whole "erotica" thing - and that's my hangup - not a fault with the story.

The Island Candy prequel (about an hour long) piqued my interest and is a title I will look into further.

I enjoy Alex Anders narrating his own books, he knows the heart of his characters and this comes through in his narration. I had no problem distinguishing characters or feeling the emotions of the story.
