Gripping & exciting!

I loved listening to this audio! The narrator did an amazing job at bringing the story to life and making me feel what she felt the whole time. How do you try to fix something that has always been broken? Do you continue to love someone through the pain? This will keep you on the edge of your seat and most likely break your heart in the best ways. Check your TW! This gets deep!

This will remain in my head way past the ending

My forth read by Tina S. Transformation (5 with the Dateline Diaries anthology) and she has yet to disappoint me! When I say every single book has had me physically feeling all the emotions! The way she can pack this much power in a short read has to be a craft. From the very beginning I was deeply invested in the fate of Seraphina, the FMC of this story. My heart ached for her throughout this entire book.

Jackson… I have so many mixed feelings! He infuriated me most of the book, but it is hard to stay upset with someone that’s trying. I absolutely despised him about 80% of the story, but Tina’s dive into mental health & hidden skeletons allowed us to see a different side of “the past not letting go.”
Marcus.. 😒 the devil on legs! That’s all I have to say about him.

I truly enjoyed the alternating timelines from past and present to show the change and growth (or lack their of) of Jackson and Seraphina’s relationship! I also liked the dual POVs to hear some of the story in first person from both the main characters.

The narrator in the audiobook was excellent! Erica Sellers brought life into these characters and she truly put on a performance. Between Tina’s words and Erica’s narration, what’s not to love!

Overall, an amazing, well written story with an ending I did not see coming! If Tina’s goal was have something on my mind way past finishing the story, she succeeded! Audiobook 1 hour and 31 minutes so add this to your up nexts

I definitely did not see this ending coming!

As I was listening to this, I was very invested in Seraphina's story and I was cheering for her to be able to get out of this toxic and abusive relationship.

About 3/4 of the way through we start to learn about Jackson's past and what has made him the man he is.

I don't want to include spoilers, so I will just say that sometimes in life it isn't completely clear why people do the things they do unless you can peek into their past. And maybe Seraphina is not the only one caught in a grip of fear!

Great short story and well narrated.
