Publisher's summary

In retracing the second and third missionary trips of St. Paul, Father Richard Rohr breaks open the life of this saint, recasting him as a mystic and as the first Christian theologian. Rohr presents Paul's revolutionary and all-embracing vision and invites us to enter into the mystery of Christ and be transformed. Rohr breaks new ground by applying up-to-date theories of our universe, integrating them with Paul's revolutionary thinking about sin, saints, and spirituality.

In his own voice, as he and other pilgrims travel in October 2014 from Athens and Corinth to Berea, Thessalonika, Philippi, and Patmos in Greece to Ephesus, Istanbul, Miletus, and Pergamum in Turkey, Richard Rohr presents Paul's revolutionary and all-embracing vision and invites us to enter into the mystery of Christ and be transformed.

A great spiritual journey!

This is one of my all time favorite audiobooks with so much depth that I will listen to it many times in the years to come to help me grow in Christ as St Paul showed us how to do. A must listen for any serious Christian education study of Saint Paul.

Parts were excellent parts were annoying

I love his teaching and he doesn't give you much room to think outside of his Franciscan box. There's almost an arrogance about his perspective which left me feeling diminished and underdeveloped because I did not always agree with his assumptions. I grew weary of hearing the term "tribal", feeling more like a judgement than a description when it did not line up with his perspective. With that said he brings a powerful message of hope and love and redemption for all.

Richard Being Richard and Sharing his Wonderful Self

If you have listened to and/or read his work you know he is a stellar teacher.
He shares his insights about love and acceptance as much as he shares Paul.

disappointing after a promising start

this is more of a series of lectures than a transcript.
I became tired of Richard Rorh' s constant critism of the Catholic church and how" they've got it wrong". I'm not sure why he identifies as a franciscan priest. further investigation of his works showed the same opinion as mine.

HV Morton's book of the same title is far better.
