Fantastic Listen/Read for Adults and Children!

If you could sum up In a Glass Grimmly in three words, what would they be?

Hilarious, Inventive, Engaging

What other book might you compare In a Glass Grimmly to and why?

Nothing, it's unique!

Have you listened to any of Johnny Heller’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Johnny Heller's performance of A Tale Dark and Grimm brought this series alive for us. I can't imagine anyone else doing a better job!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes!

Any additional comments?

My kids (6 and 8) and I absolutely love this series of books and adore the narration. It is the first series of audio books my children have been engaged with and truly interested in hearing how the story ends. Highly recommended!

Great listen!

Would you listen to In a Glass Grimmly again? Why?

Yes, there are a few details im sure I missed the first to around. Though clearly more geared for children, the narrator is still someone I enjoyed.

Which character – as performed by Johnny Heller – was your favorite?

Really, anytime he described something "awful" or "gross". Almost as though the narrator was a character as well...

Any additional comments?

Basically, a cute, decent listen when you don't have anything more pressing to tend to. I enjoyed the ending how it tied back to the beginning and gives rise to believe that the authors we know and love may not be as original as we thought.

Funny retelling of fairy tales

This is probably the best of the re-told fairy tale genre. The series is laugh out loud funny and enjoyable for both kids and adults. It probably makes sense to start with the first one (A Tale Dark and Grimm) but I don't think it is necessary. My only caveat is this may not be the best for an extremely young or squeamish child.

Heller is such an amusing narrator. He makes the author/narrator's voice come alive as an additional character. He is worth seeking out for children's books on audible.

Another Winner

I enjoyed the second book as much as the first one. This is a good batch of retellings, with lots of humor and intrigue.
