Unique Shifter take
I basically read the first book to get the background for the following two books, but this story proved to be unique. I won't say where the threat came from (as hinted at in the pitch), but I will agree that Cory saves the day in every way possible. He proves someone can overcome their past mistakes and become everyone's benefactor, not just because it's to his advantage. If you were ever given a swirly in school, or the person who handed them out, this is the kind of story you want to read.

Great story, a bit different the usual. I like how the characters through a bit of spanish in the story.
