Publisher's Summary

Charlene needs a miracle. God has one waiting...100 years in the past.

In Time for Christmas is the story of Charlene Williams, a woman trapped in a dangerously abusive marriage. Disappointed that God hasn't gotten her out of it, or even hears her prayers at all, she has shut down emotionally. When husband Dale becomes suspicious of her daily chats with the mailman, he whisks her out of town and abandons her on his family's ranch - an isolated, dilapidated place no one has lived on for over 40 years. With the promise that he'll be back in a few days, he knocks her unconscious and leaves.

Charlene wakes up on the ranch - 100 years in the past. Almost instantly, she is drawn to Billy Page, Dale's great grandfather. The connection is powerful and mysterious, but should she risk falling in love with a ghost? What's going on here? Is Charlene dead, dreaming, in a coma, or simply experiencing a gift from her heavenly father?

She'll learn one thing for certain: God does see the tears of his children.

PG-13 for violence

Sweet time travel with a twist.

Present Day: Charlene was tricked into marriage by a man that was everything nice; until they were married. After that he became her abusive jailer. When she won't obey he takes her to his family's old ranch in the mountains that has been deserted for over 60 years. He leaves her in the broken down empty house for 5 days hoping that without food or water, she will be compliant when he returns. Charlene falls asleep on the floor and awakens 110 years in the past. This is a sweet story with some unpredictable twists and turns.

Loved this Christmas novella!

I really enjoyed this story and the narration! I love time-travel books and Christmas, so it was a perfect fit for me as I go about getting ready for Christmas! This is the first book I have read/listened to by author Heather Blanton. I cannot wait to read more of her stories!

Very Edgy Suspense

This is not your typical Christmas book, but that should not be expected from author Heather Blanton whose writing is quite a bit like the renowned Francine Rivers. Warning to CF readers there is a lot of violence in this book, however it is integral to the story which is compelling. You'll be rooting for the heroine and hero and praying the villain gets his due and you'll find yourself unable to stop listening until you've heard it all.

Dreamworld

Not my style of book and couldn't decided half the time if we were in past or present and unrealistic.
