It is a radical change for Mark when his father sends him to live with his aunt and uncle in South Africa. Mark sees poverty and racism everywhere and there seems to be no escape. When he befriends Sipho, a young black boy, his life becomes even more complicated. Suddenly Mark is caught between two worlds and must decide what he stands for and where he belongs.

Review of In Such a Place

I loved this feel good story! As a South African citizen since 1947 I could associate myself with the situation. The narrator was excellent and she let all the characters sound so natural and keep you in suspense until the end.
