Solid Historical Fiction.

With a well developed plot and a very capable Narrator this Book scores high points.

Of course you need to be interested in Scottish History to fully enjoy the story, it is a good effort that many people will enjoy listening to.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Horrible narration.

I couldn't even get through the first chapter. it sounds like a computer is narrating and it is painful to listen to. I'm sure the book itself is awesome but I won't be listening to it.

Great insight into the period

Apparently, this book was intended as part of a learning course. That is not a takeaway, it helped me to focus on the important aspects of the period. I will be getting more good reads from G.A. Henry. Now for the obligatory: "I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review."

Loved the Details

I got this story via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. I loved the beginning and the ending. The narrator made the story come to life and kept me in the story. The battles were described in vivid detail. I loved the authenticity of the story and how it helped me to round out my knowledge of Wallace and the others surrounding him. I have always been interested in Scottish history and this helped me with that. The questions at the end were good for dissecting the story.

Good Historical Text

I usually like historical novels. This novel seemed more like a text book. The narrator just read the text. I liked the story but did not like the questions right in the middle of the novel. Missed someone giving a performance as other book are performed.
