Publisher's summary

As the author of many true crime books, Don Lasseter has sometimes been asked to identify and rank the "worst of the worst" murderers. Considering the stunning variety of bloodthirsty methods used by these perps, and the horrific toll of victims, it would be difficult. Instead, in this book, he has profiled fifty of the most heinous killers in modern history for readers to discover and make their own rankings.

This will disappoint true crime buffs

I love Don Lassater. He is my favorite guest on Dan Zupanskis podcast. However great his books and interviews in the past, this one bored me and then made me angry. It felt thrown together on what you can google in about 5 minutes for each story. I was so disturbed that he included the lipstick killer from Chicago because if anyone knows anything about true crime they would know that this person is/was absolutely innocent and for Don Lassater to include him and then throw in the thought that he may have been railroaded at the very end was so very Wikipedia like. If you don't know ore about the case, don't include it.

The narrator is annoying & hard to listen to.

How could the performance have been better?

I couldn't finish the book, the narrator had an upward lilt to her voice that I found off putting and annoying when listening to stories about serial killers.
