Today I’m thrilled to be joined by a very special guest Sabrina Percy, an accredited Human Potential and Executive Coach and co-founder of The Centien Clinic, a mobile health and wellness service composed of medical and scientific experts who bring a holistic, preventative, performance and precision approach to medicine.
Today, we we will be exploring health optimisation. Specifically, we will discuss how to achieve helping people to live life consciously into their full potential, and how to think about health in 2022.
We cover:
- Applying the Biopsychosocial-spiritual model to executive coaching. The model is described as a “holistic approach that acknowledges the interaction between physical, psychological, social, and spiritual aspects to patient care and patient well-being.” (Beng, 2004).
- Neuroscientist Lisa Feldman Barrett concept of “body budgeting”.
Top skills to cultivate for optimisation:
1. Interoception: the ability to sense the internal state of the body.
2. Measuring or tracking: we mentioned @myfitnesspal as a great app or writing a food journal.
3. Coaching yourself: exploring ways of reframing healthy habits so that you feel empowered to choose them rather than disempowered because you feel like you are having something you like taken away.
