When she was a little girl, Susie was a devout Catholic who dreamed of becoming a nun, even opening her own convent. Along the way, Susie stopped believing in God but, in light of the recent sex scandal in the Catholic Church, Susie says it's the Catholic laity, like herself, who are the most upset. This week's interview is with science fiction writer, accomplished sadist, and long time friend of Susie's, Richard Kadrey. Kadrey is the San Francisco based author of the cyberpunk novels, Metrophage and Kamakazi L'Amour, the comic book, Accelerate, and the nonfiction catalogue Covert Culture Sourcebook. Susie and Richard talk about hunting out covert culture when the Internet puts nearly everything at your fingertips. The, Richard offers his own personal history of getting into S/M and his advice for expressing your fantasies to your lover.
